These jewels are going to be worth a fortune on the black market. Maybe I could keep them to myself? Nah, with what money these gems are worth, it's worth the money. I could see it for $1,000! Maybe double it. Triple it! I can't decide, this loot is too much! But with all of my excitement, I managed to forget where I am. First, I knew where I was going and now I must've made a few turns and now I'm not familiar where I am. I slapped myself mentally and physically for not paying attention and losing where I was.
For a few minutes, I wandered these empty halls like a lost dog. Yes, it is stupid to forget things over some jewels. But you can't really help it since it is human nature to be happy over these sacred gems.
The more I go down a path, the more my mind gets fuzzy and doesn't remember a thing. Nothing here seems to be familiar. I groaned as I crossed my arms, walking back from where I came from. If Mark was here, we would be able to...
I pulled up my sleeve to reveal my watch. This thing has a tracking device so that means if there is another device, this will pick it up. And since Mark and I are the only ones who have this, ill be able to find him.
I opened the app to the radar. I zoomed it out a bit for it to get the whole thing of how big of a place this is. It wasn't really big, honestly. But big enough to get you confused of your surroundings. I scanned the whole thing until I saw a white dot with the name 'Mark' underneath it. I touched his dot and it panned out a trial for me to follow. Like Google Maps. The time I would get there is 30 minutes by walking and 15 minutes by running/jogging. This is a crucial moment and I cannot spare any second doing nothing.
I prepped myself up for a 15 minute run/jog and I began. During some moments, I looked at my watch to see if I was going the right way.
I ran through turns, going through some corridors. Everything was dusty and it was dim lit. And, yes I am being very careless of not knowing any traps that could be anywhere. But I would go through many pain and obstacles if it meant to reunite with my friend.

After the 15 minute Mark was up, (see what I did there. This joke is so old XD), I have finally reached somewhat close to where his dot was at. I bent down to catch my breath before standing up again. I cupped my hands around my mouth and yelled.
[Y/N] Mark?! Where are you?! It's me, (Y/N)!
My voice echoed through the temple. For sure, Mark could hear me from the far corners of this crumbled building. I received nothing but silence and eerie noises. I decided to attempt again.
[Y/N] Come on Mark! This isn't the time to mess around!
Again, nothing. I groaned as I walked to where the dot was. But I didn't see anything except for a watch on the ground. I bent down and held onto it. The screen was cracked and it didn't respond. The only explanation for this is that while Mark was trying to run away from anything, his strapping came lose and the watch fell onto this rock ground.
This means that Mark has no way to find me. Even I have no way. No ideas came to mind. Except to wait and see what has in store for us. I dropped the watch and I pinched the bridge of my nose.
'This is such a mess'But then, I saw that red was blinking from my wrist. I rubbed my face a bit before looking at my watch. But what I saw was confusing. On the radar came a red dot in the area. Then, the watch began to bleep loudly. Mark's watch suddenly lit up and the same thing happened. The radar. The red light flashing. The beeping. Text formed below. I read it and a shiver ran down and up my spine.
THREAT DETECTED
The red dot seemed to come closer to Mark's and my dot. Just then, I heard rumbles behind me. I didn't know what the main source was or what it was. But how the watches detected it as a 'threat' made fear creep into thought.
