As soon as I stepped outside and felt the sunshine on my skin, I felt better. I didn't like the cold and dusty temple inside. The warm impact on my skin made me want to run around like a little kid again. But that was all interrupted by Illinois who stood at my right.

[Illinois] Well, what has gotten you into a happy mood.
[Y/N] I always enjoy the sun and heat it gives me. It's so soothing.
[Illinois] Ya know, you can always lay off some heat on me.

Just then, I heard a whip crack and I turned to him, mad as ever. My body started to heat up and I knew my face was turning red.

[Illinois] Maybe you do need to lay off some heat.

I inhaled and exhaled slowly to cool myself down and I returned to crossing my arms and looking forwards.

[Illinois] Well, it was nice knowing you, kid. I'll see you around these parts.

I turned to Illinois who was now making his way into the woods. At that moment, I didn't know where I was. I tried to look around to see any kind of bright red near me but I couldn't. If Illinois left, I would be lost and I won't have the slightest idea where I am.

[Y/N] Illinois? Wait.

He paused his walking to turn to me.

[Y/N] Can you maybe escort me back to the city near? I don't know where I am and I'm afraid I'm going to get lost.

He placed his finger on his chin making the 'hmm' sound like it was the most important decision in his life. He then stopped and flicked his head.

[Illinois] Sure kid. Gives us more time to hang out.
[Y/N] Don't you dare try anything.
[Illinois] And if I do?

I gave him a deadly glare as I limped my way over to him. He waited for me until I was next to him. Then we started to walk into the forest.

The forest was deep and dense. It did provide shade from the fiery sun, but it gave many things cover from it. I was afraid I was going to step on something I didn't see and it might bite me or something.

Illinois was very careless on where he placed his footing. I guess he didn't have to worry because he had leather boots on and I bet nothing was going through that. Plus he has more experience than me. But he doesn't have the agility like me.

We've been walking for what seems to be ages until we came to a clearing in the woods. Not far was a bright red car. The same car Mark and I had escaped in. I began excited until I realized that the engine wasn't working. I stepped closer to see that the whole we fell down in had disappeared.

Illinois went to the driver side to see that there was no key. He opened the hood and smoke peered out. He coughed and fanned the smoke away. When the smoke cleared, he then started to fix it, getting some oil on his hands.

I leaned against the car and I looked inside to see my grappling hook. I opened the door and quickly placed the hook inside my bag. I'm not sure what Illinois would think if he saw that. Just then, I heard the hood fell and I saw Illinois, hands with smudges of oil and some on his shirt. Sweat formed on his forehead and it dripped off of him.

I caught myself in a trance and I snapped myself out of it before he could notice it. He walked to the driver side and opened the door.

[Illinois] Can you hand me that rag right there?

I looked to where he was pointing but to see nothing. Nothing was there and when I looked back to tell him, he was wiping away his hands.

[Illinois] Thanks kid. Now get in.

He hopped on and I hopped in as well. He opened the bottom of the steering wheel and wires came out. He got out some wires and began to experiment with them. After several shocks and failures, he eventually started up the vehicle. I put on my seat belt and he did as well.
