I woke up to rushing water running beneath me. My eyes fluttering open. 'Man, when will I ever get a break from passing out?'

I was still tied up, but now standing instead of sitting. I looked around me to see we were at an edge of a water fall.

I looked beside me to see Scarlett and one of her raiders. In front of me, several feet away, him strapped with Travis holding a hunting knife to his throat.

[Illinois] Travis! I thought we were friends! I thought I could trust you!
[Travis] Shut your fucking mouth, Illinois! All you gave me in stress and broken promises! You told me you would take me home! But you never did.
[Scarlett] Even your supervisor is against you. Honestly, the last person who should.

Illinois grunted as he tried to struggle free from the ropes around his wrists. But every time he tried to do something more, Travis would place the knife closer.

[Scarlett] You'll thank me some time, Charming. At least this'll be the last person you'll see die.
[Illinois] Scarlett...don't do this...I know this is not like you. You were full of life and joy before! I remember you telling me to move on! We both shared a big connection.
[Scarlett] And you are the first to break it! And just because I said for you to move on, doesn't mean I have to do the same!

I tried to look around for some sort of way to break out. Scarlett held the back of my neck, digging her sharp nails in my flesh. I winced, causing them to look at me.

[Scarlett] Oh, you're awake.

She moved her head slowly to Illinois.

[Scarlett] Which will make it more exciting.
[Illinois] Please. We can talk this out. We can start over. Think of all the possibilities. That what you always said, right?
[Scarlett] That Scarlett is dead. Now I have finally opened my eyes to see that you were never there. All I ever did was for you. But you rejected them all.

I looked around me. I wiggled my wrist some more, and managed to get one of my wrists free. I started to slowly move in towards the raider next to me. The moving water below us should give me a little cover. I moved in closer and closer until Scarlett pulled me closer.

Illinois, then, banged his head against Travis, causing him to remove the knife from his neck. Illinois took the knife from his hand and swiftly stabbed it into Travis's stomach. Travis gasped fro air as I felt the air tense up.

[Scarlett] Travis!

Tears fell from her cheek as the raider next to me got out a throwing knife and aimed it at Illinois's leg. Illinois groaned as he fell down.

[Y/N] Illinois!

I felt Scarlett tighten her grip behind my neck and then wrapped her hand around my neck. She squeezed as she picked me up and left me over the waterfall.

I saw as Illinois desperately tried to get to me, but raiders grabbed his arms and prevented him from coming over.

[Scarlett] Say "Hi" to the other associates for me.

I clawed at her hand and I felt her grip loosen. I could hear the yells from Illinois behind her as she let go. I fell with a scream that echoed through the jungle.

[Illinois] NO!

(3rd POV)

As a tear fell down from Illinois's cheek, Scarlett wiped her hands on the side of her pants. She turned her head to Illinois, a satisfied smile plastered on her face.

[Scarlett] Don't worry, I won't kill you as well.

She walked up to Illinois who was on his knees, the tear, landing into the flowing water below. Scarlett landed her hand on his shoulder, raising an eyebrow.
