After studying last night, something told me something wasn't right about Mark. I was not sure what it was. But I needed to see him in person to believe he is alright.

But I couldn't go right now. My eye lids became heavy and I yawned very often. After getting ready for bed, I gathered my books and notebooks for the next day. Then I went to sleep.

And now it's early in the morning when the sun is starting to dawn. I kept on waking up in the night and worried about Mark. It may have been that I'm going away from him for a whole week. I'm just worried for his health.

I got out of bed and started to get ready for the day. After brushing up my teeth and washing my face, I went into my closet to pick out something. I decided to put on some denim jeans, a white shirt, my favorite jacket, and some converse, I went into my kitchen to get some food. I opened my fridge to see nothing. I also get my food somewhere and not shop.

Maybe when I go out, I can stop by the grocery store and get some food. Surely, I'll have time to met Mark, get some food and go to class on time.

I grabbed my house keys, phone, and wallet and locked the door before going out.

I waked for about a few minutes when I passed a flower shop. Maybe I could get some flowers for Mark? I'm not sure if he likes them but I'll bet he'll be appreciative to get them from a friend.

I walked inside to see a nice person greet me. I greeted them back as I looked around the shop. Plants were mostly everywhere. I passed by this one section where the pollen had gotten into my nose. I breathed in a couple of times before sneezing into my sleeved. The cashier blessed me and I replied with the usual 'thank you.'

I looked around some more until I just came across regular tulips. They were a mix of red, white, pink, and yellow. I figured they would be good and got them out. I walked up to the cashier to pay my total. They organized my order and asked for me to swipe my card. I did and they asked if I wanted my receipt I said no and wished them a nice day.

I walked out of the shop and continued to make my way to the bus stop.

After I got dropped off near the hospital, I continued my way. I held onto the flowers tight and I was, for some reason, nervous to met Mark. But how could I be nervous? He is one of my best friends and will probably be the only one. Maybe because of the trip.

I arrived and I walked through the automatic doors. I went to the front office and said that I wanted to visit a friend. She typed on her computer, asking me what the name was. I said out loud Mark's full name and she said for me to wait until they call my name. I thanked her as I walked to a chair.

I went on my phone to see mail. I opened up the mail box to see the same news as yesterday. Two fugitives on the run. I couldn't see their faces since it was all blurry. Just then, a doctor called out my name. I put away my phone, flowers in hand, and walked with him.

He said that Mark is doing fine. Unfortunately, they found some of his tissue ripped of the inside. The doctor said that he needs to be in the hospital for a few more days until he gets out. I asked him how many specifically. He said the earliest in five days or the latest, a week. I nodded.

We went up some elevators and took turns in hallways. Finally we were in his room. He was sitting up straight in his bed, looking out the window. He was still in his suit and tie. He turned his head to me and showed a huge smile. I smiled back as the doctor said that he'll be in again in a few minutes. He left us both alone.

I set down the flowers and went to his side to hug him. I gripped his back tightly and he did as well.

[Y/N] I was worried for you.
[Mark] Me too.
