Chapter 14

In the hospital
I woke up. In pain. I looked around and all I could see was white walls all around me. Except for one blurred figure sitting on the chair. I could tell it was a man.
Nicky? I said groggily sitting up.
The figure came towards me.
No said the blurry person - no it's Jake you need to rest go back to sleep. he pushed me back down
Jake? Jake! Jake as in Jake who broke my heart Jake. Wow I know I've hurt my head but I can't have gone delusional. Could I?
I fell back asleep.
I woke up a couple of hours later to a nurse who was checking my bloods.
Where am i? What happened? I asked
You were in a serious car accident. Your car got hit badly by a truck and took a blow to your head! Your lucky to have woken up!
H- really? Why was Jake here?
I'm still here a voice said from the door.
He is your next of kin. He was the person we rang when you were brought in. Said the nurse
J- so even though we broke up you still kept me as your next of kin.
He giggled
Truth is your still mine.
H- we never broke up, you cheated on me. I caught you. I dumped up.
It still hurt to say it.
Nurse- erm I'm going to leave you two alone.
She looked at me
Any trouble from him shout me and he's out of here ok?
H- ok Thankyou.
She walked out.
Jake pulled up the chair closer to my bed.
J-How are you?
H-I feel like I've been hit by a truck.
He giggled
J- so your sense of humour hasn't changed.
H- why are you here Jake? Where's Nicky and the girls?
J- they don't know about you yet. I haven't told them. I wanted to talk to you when you woke up. alone.
H- how dare you! They are my bestfriends, more than you are to me! You should have rang then. You wasn't even sure if I would wake up!
J- I knew you would wake you because are strong. I'm sorry your right. You have always been right.
H- what do you mean?
I was growing curious
You said you wanted to talk to me? Why?
J- when I got that call my heart went into my mouth. I couldn't breathe. It make me realise that it's always been you, I never loved Jessica. She was just something that kept me occupied. I love you and always have.
H- ha why should I trust you. So that's what it takes hey? I have to nearly die for you to realise your true feelings?
He grabbed my hand I pulled away. He had a sad puppy dog look in his eyes, it always got to me.
Get me my phone please.
He walked over to my bag, pulled out my phone and handed it to me.
I called Chloe
H-Chloe?
C- hey girl where are you? We need to talk.
H- I'm in the hospital...
C- what why?!
H- I was in a car crash. Can you come down please. Will you bring the girls aswell?
C- omg of course I'll be there as soon as I can.
H- oh by any chance has you saw Nicky?
C- Ye that's what I want to talk about. He is at Josh's. Shall I bring him too?
H- omg Thankyou! Yes please!
C- erm ok. See you soon.
H- be careful
C- will be bye love Ye
H- love you
I hung up.
J- what was that all about?
H- what?
J- OMG Thankyou!
H- he was missing. That's why I was out driving at like 6am. I was looking for him. Wait why am I explain myself to you. As soon as the girls are here you can go. You can go now if you want.
J- how can you just let me go after what I've just told you. Is there someone else?
H- well.. *i paused* no, but .. just no.
J- well if there is no one else could you not just as least give me a try? One chance?
H- no you broke my heart.
J- I know and I can't feel any worse. Please?
H- no Jake. I was happy with you but you decided Jessica was more fun. So go have your fun. Forget about me. I was doing fine without you.
Jake opened his mouth asif to say something but stopped himself. He looked at me and walked out...

Chloes pov
A car crash?! Omg. I text the girls.
Be ready in ten I'm coming to pick youse up we need to go to the hospital.
Sian text back straight away.
S- why what?!
C- Hannah.
S- what about hannah!
C- I'll tell you when I pick you up in on my way.
Rachael was crashing at Sian' s while she was over here.
They both got into the black cab with scared faces.
R- what's happened?!
C- she was in a car crash.
S- a bad one?
C- I think so.
R- are we going to get erin?
C- we are going to Josh's first.
R- Chloe this isn't time for a snog fest!
C- Nicky's there you dumbass!
R- oh sorry carry on.
C- Ye.
We arrived at Josh's and Nicky was stood at the door still half pissed by the looks of it.
N- what's going on?
C- Hannah's in hospital. We are going there now.
N- omg is she ok?
C- we don't know until we get there.
Erin text and said don't pick her up. She was already making her way in her car.
That helped because we could get there quicker. Erin lived miles away.
The rest of the cab ride was silent. Everyone was scared.
I tried to reassure everyone that she sounded ok on the phone but she didn't and everybody could tell I was lying.

At the hospital.
Sians pov.
We arrived af the entrance to the hospital and I was first out of the cab, I ran into the reception. Hannah, Hannah Hanson where is she?
Room 136 A&E floor 5 said the receptionist.
I ran. The others followed behind. I didn't care, I just wanted to get to her as soon as.
I got there and I saw her crying in the bed.
S- Hannah! Are you ok?!
H- Sian! Am I glad to see you!
We hugged and she winced.
S- sorry!
H- it's ok. Where are the others?
S- they are coming now
Just as I said that, the room flooded with people. Nicky, Rachael, Chloe and Erin, she must have met them on the way up.
Hannah's eyes locked on Nicky as his did with her. Wow I don't know how the others didn't get onto the fact they are seeing each other.
