New Years party
Phil's pov...
I can't believe it. I drove to Lucy's I needed to see her. I pulled up and She opened the door.
L-Phil!
She leaned in to kiss me but I pulled back.
L- what's up?
P- oh nothing, I'm just not in the mood that's all.
L- oh ok. What's up?
P- another time Ye? It's New Year's Eve! I know it's last minute but I was thinking about a small get together tonight. I'll invite Cass and some people from work if they aren't on shift. Why don't you invite all the girls?
L- a small get together ey? Haha
P- Ye only a few.
L- alright. I'll text them to see if can come. At yours is it?
P- Yep. Tell them to come for about 9 maybe?
L- alright I'll see you later.
P- not if I see you first.
I kissed her on the forehead and got in the car to go shopping for supplies.

Lucy's pov...
Something was off with Phil. I'll find out before 12. We are not going I to the new year with secrets. No way.
I text Hannah, Sian, Erin, Racheal and Chloe.
L- party at Phil's tonight if youse can come. Cass and a couple others will be there too. Starts at 9 x
bleep!
H- yes of course. It's alright if we bring plus ones Ye? It is New Years after all;) x
L- yes! Of course. The more the merrier. See you at Phil's.
C- yep me and Bailey will come if that's ok.
H- so you've picked then?
C- yes. Baileys the one for me ;)
Although it was over text I could tell Chloe was blushing writing that.
L- Aww!x
S- yep ok! Me and Harvey have soon news to tell you all anyways;) x
H- Ohh what?! Xx
S- you will have to wait until tonight! x
H- Bitch! Ok:D x
E- yep of course. I'll bring some non alcoholic wine for me :) not a good idea to drink when your 38 weeks no is it?! Haha x
R- I'm sure one glass at midnight won't hurt erin! Haha. And ok Dana is more excited than me!x
E- no way! Just grape juice for me! Haha and he's such a big kid!x
L- haha. Glad youse can all come. I'll see youse tonight.
Sorted yay! They can all come. Now it's outfit, hair and makeup time!
Finally I was ready! I decided on a silver sparkly tight dress with black heels and a black clutch bag, my hair was straight and my makeup was on.
I looked at my phone to find it was 8:30 pm and I had messages from Cass, Phil and Hannah. I quickly looked at them and replied then called a taxi.
I went down stairs to find my dad slumped in his chair.
L- come on you lump! Your not sitting here by yourself for New Years when you could be partying!
D- I'm not really I'm the mood.
L- tough! It's new year! It's only comes around once in every 365 days so you have to enjoy it! Besides Phil's mum will be there so there will be people your age.
He looked down and sighed.
D- fine you have twisted my arm.
L- come on we will be late!
We got in the taxi and arrived at Phil's with 5 minutes to spare. A couple of familiar faces were already there. People from Phil and Cass' station. I only really knew Kerry, Luke and Nick. I waved to them and went to find Phil. Dad was lagging behind me.
I saw phil and ran to him I fell in my heels but he caught me in his big hunky arms.
P- careful
He said laughing at me and kissing me.
L- good job I have you to catch me otherwise I would be on the facedown on the floor.
Nick butted in.
N- hey I'd catch you if he wasn't there
He said laughing,
P- back of you cocky cockney bastard
Phil laughed
P- She's mine
Phil and Nick were laughing but then Phil caught eyes with my dad. He stood there still and removed his arm from around me.
L- what's up?
P- oh I just didn't expect your da to come.
L- Ye I said he could rather than sitting by himself. That's ok isn't it?
P- erm Ye sure.
L- him and your can hang together. Saves your mum being alone to.
P- Ye sure whatever.
He walked away like he had suddenly lost all interest in the night.
What is going on?!

Phil's pov...
I didn't want him to be here. I didn't want to face the reality of what mum had said. Him being here is just a horrible reminder. I walked into the hall and sat on the stairs. People started coming in, letting on to me but I Didn't look up. I heard a woman's voice ask me what was wrong.
I looked up to see Hannah standing over me.
P- oh nothing. Just stuff.
She laughed.
H- nothing is wrong just stuff? That does t make sense even for you. What's wrong?
P- it's complicated.
H- come on budge up.
She hit my knee so I moved over and she sat on the same stair waiting for me to begin talking.
P- well it's just weird.
H- Phil have you met me? I'm completely weird. You can tell me.
P- well my mum told me something. Something weird, messed up and it involved Lucy.
H- I'm going to need more than that to help you.
P- ok so my mum and Dennis knew each other when they were 15. Something big happened between them and it involves me and Lucy now but my mum doesn't want me to tell Lucy or Dennis for that matter. But it's constantly on my mind and I feel like I can't be around Lucy because I'll be off with her, she'll notice and then I will end up telling her.
H- wow Ok. You want my advice?
P- sure.
H- tell your mum how your feeling. It's obviously something big, she can't expect you to keep things from Lucy if you love her, you do right?
P- of course I do! Yes your right. I will thanks Hannah.
H- come on, the party won't be any good without us in there!
We stood up and I hugged Hannah.
P- thanks for your advice
H- no problems, what are friends for right?
P- come on.
We walked into the living room where the party was already raving.
Hannah went off with the girls while I went to find my mum.

Hannah's pov...
Something big was happening. I don't know what but something serious was happening. What a way to finish off the year hey. I walked into the living room with Phil. I think he went to find his mum while I joined The girls on the dance floor.
S- where have you been hey?
H- talking to Phil.
S- only talking I hope! Haha
H- omg sian! Of course! He was upset! What do you think I am!
S- oh come on have you saw him though?! I mean who wouldn't!
H- erm you! You are engaged or did you forget?
We both laughed.
S- that was I wanted to tell you!
H- oh yes! What?
S- we have set a date!
H- really?!
S- yes. The 3oth of October in Disney land.
H- Aww! That's the day you met! That so cute. Mizzy night. Special days are your things, met on mizzy night, he proposed on Christmas, you set a day on New Year's Eve and then married on mizzy too! Your first child will be born on easter the way you too are going! Haha!
S- oh my gosh imagine! That would be easy gifts then, I would just buy loads of chocolate for them! Haha!
I looked at her with a 'seriously?!' Look and then we both burst out in laughter.
S- And Ivd picked a maid of honour.
H- ooh who is it?!
S- you!
We hugged and jumped up and down. H- Really?! Oh my gosh! Thankyou so much. I'm gonna throw you the best hen nigh ever!
S- you better had!
H- don't worry I will! Omg yay. Come on let's dance.
We went over to Erin, Racheal, Lucy, Chloe, Cass and Kerry who were dance crazily and joined in while Jake, Harvey, Jamie, Dana, Simon and Luke were standing in a group watching us and laughing. This was going to be a good night.

Phil's pov...
I searched through the crowds of people to find my mum out in the garden by herself.
P- mum I need to talk to you.
J- oh course son. What is it?
P- i can't do this anymore. I need to tell her.
J- no phil. Please!
P- mum I love Lucy. I can't keep something like this from her! It's not right.
J- your right. It's not fair that you have to keep this from her. We will tell them, but not tonight.
P- you've kept it secret for so long it's time it came out.
I kissed her cheek and dragged her inside.
J- Phil! What are you going?
P- I'm not starting the new year off with a secret between Us. It's coming out now mum.
Mum was lost for words but she knew I was right.
I told mum to go upstairs into my room while I grabbed Lucy and Dennis.
I walked over to Dennis and told him to go up the stairs and wait for Lucy and I to come up.
I went to Lucy who was enjoying herself. I didn't want to stop the fun but she needed to know.
P- I need you upstairs now
Lucy looked around at the girls and started laughing.
E- feeling in the spirit Phillip?
They all laughed.
P- Lucy please my room now.
L- well ok then.
She was laughing.
I got her arm and helped her upstairs were Dennis was waiting.
D- what's going on?
P- come on come in here.
We all walked into my room were my mum was waiting.
D- will someone explain what is going on please?
L- Phil?
P- mum are you going to explain it or shall I?
Mum looked to Lucy.
J- Lucy your father and I used to date.
L- is that it? I thought it was something worse than that. If your worried about that, it's alright. It doesn't creep me out.
J- no Lucy there's more.
There was an awkward silence.
J- I got pregnant.
L&D- what?!
D- pregnant? Why did I never know this? Why didn't you tell me?!
J- we lost touch l couldn't find you.
L- so what are you saying? You were pregnant. What else?
J- I had it.
D- what?! I have a child I didn't know about? Where is it?
J- my parents made me give her up for adoption.
D- a girl. I have another daughter?
J- yes.
L- Phil did you know?
P- only from yesterday. I made her tell you both.
L- this is some sort of weird joke right?
J- no Lucy I'm sorry it's not.
L- I need some air
Lucy ran out and I followed her.
P- Lucy!
L- I just need to be by myself
She walked off.
I stood outside my room and I could hear the conversation between mum and Dennis.
J- Dennis, I-- I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say.
D- you don't know what to say?! How do you think I feel? I have a daughter. Ive missed most of her life and she is with people who she probably believes are her parents. She doesn't know us and I don't know her.
J- Dennis
D- please, save it.
Dennis stormed out and walked right past me.
