Everyone kissed their loved ones; Hannah and Jake, Sian and Harvey, Racheal and Dana, Chloe and Bailey, Erin and Jamie, Cass and Simon, Kerry and Luke even Nick with some new girl in the station named Gemma (who is a lesbian - but it was midnight so who cares!) but no Phil and Lucy...
Phil's pov...
Everyone was inside, snogging the faces of each other, I swear I've just seen Gemma snog Nick. I could have sworn she said she was gay, well I guess new year brings new things. Somehow I didn't feel like celebrating though. I stood In the garden leaning against the tree kicking stones. What is even going on? I don't know anymore. My heads all over the place. I looked to the bottom of the garden and caught a glimpse of a sparkly dress sitting on top of a garden table. It was Lucy. Should I go over there? Fuck it I am.
I walked over to Lucy, my heart aching; I could see that this was breaking her and it's all my fault she knows.
P- happy new year.
L- Oh yeah, you too.
She smiled fakely and looked away longingly.
P- budge up.
She moved along the table leaving just enough room for me.
P- seen all them snogging each other's faces off in there, anyone would think they are a bunch of teenagers.
I laughed fakely
L- phil, you've never been good a small talk.
P- I know. Look im sorry that I didn't tell you earlier and I'm sorry I told you at all. I didn't know how to tell you and I can't keep a secret from you. But Lucy this shouldn't effect us. I mean we love each other right? Nothing should get in the way of that.
L- we have a sister together isn't that weird?
P- of course it is. But it's not like we are siblings. It shouldn't stop us.
L- why can't any thing ever go right? I was going to marry nicky then he was a dick then I finally find you your perfect and I find out we have a sister together?!
P- we found each other though. Your perfect for me, I'm perfect for you. Doesn't that ring any bells to you?! Lucy we are meant to be! If we can get through this we can get through anything.
L- can we get through this? That's the question.
P- oh course we can. Sure it's abit weird but what's really the definition of normal ey? This could be normal for all we know!
I grabbed her hand and held it tight. She laughed
L- I'm sure we are the complete definition of normal aren't we.
P- hey you never know
We both laughed and put our foreheads together and just sat there.
P- happy new year
I whispered.
L- happy new year
She whispered back.
We kissed gently then walked back inside holding hands. I sat on the couch and Lucy sat on my knee. Our fingers interlocking while we laughed at everyone dancing.

Hannah's pov...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I shouted looking around at everyone's faces.
Jake held my waist tight and pulled me in close for our first kiss of the new year. We kissed passionately yet gently. One of his hands moves to my face, so he was practically squeezing my cheek whilst his other hand moved to bum so he actually was squeezing my cheek.
I laughed and slapped his hand.
H- ey you save that for later!
I looked around the room to see everyone sharing their New Years kiss. It was cute, except Cass and simon. Cass was pinned up to the wall and they were full on snogging
J- wow it looks like I'm not the only one who didn't want to wait for later!
Jake laughed and hugged me
Happy New Years we both said in sinc into each other's ear.
