Chapter 36

Wake up.
Jakes pov...
I arrived back at the house, hannah wasn't in the living room she must have gone upstairs for a lie down. My phone rang it was hannah.
J- hey
L- Jake! Jake is that you?
The voice wasn't Hannah's. It was a man. Whoever he was he sounded upset and panicked
J- who is this? Where's Hannah.
L- ok Jake, you might want to take a seat.
J- no! No who is this? Where's my girlfriend?!
L- it's Luke, Luke Ashton I was at Phil's New Years party?
J- why do you have Hannah's phone! What's going on Luke?
L- ok, don't panic. Hannah's been in a car accident.
I dropped the phone. What if she's seriously hurt? Oh my god.
I heard a voice saying 'Jake? Jake, are you still there?!' It brought me back to reality. I picked up the phone from the floor.
J- Ye-- erm yes I'm here
L- she's been taken to St Hughes she blacked out.
J- was she alone?
L- no Jamie and Erin were involved too. Jamie's ok but Erin is in labour and she doesn't look too good if I'm honest.
J- oh my god. I'm heading down to the hospital now.
L- I'm on my way too with Cass and Kerry.
J- ok see you there.
I ran out to the car. I can't deal with this...

Hannah's pov...
I woke up and I was in the hospital. I sat up and thought of Erin. The nurse ran in.
Nurse- your awake! That's brilliant- how are to feeling?
H- Erin, where's Erin? And Jamie and the baby? Oh god the baby.
Morbid thoughts ran through my mind.
Nurse- come on I'll take you.
The nurse helped me into the wheelchair and rolled me to the ED. I saw sian there crying hugging Jamie who was also crying. The worst thought hit me straight away.
H- what's happened?!
S- Hannah! Your ok!
Sian lent down hugging me, a hug of happiness yet fear of the unknown too.
H- I'm fine. How's Erin?
S- well it's not looking good. The baby is ok.they have him an emergency C section, he was born 20 minutes ago. He's beautiful. Erin is critical. She is not getting any worse at the moment but not any better either.
H- oh my god.
I broke down tears streaming down my face. If only I'd looked early maybe Jamie would have been able to steer the car right again. I looked at Jamie.
H- I'm so sorry Jamie.
J- why are you sorry? You weren't driving its all my fault!
Jamie broke down too. I hugged him and we cried on each other's shoulder for a while, both blaming ourselves.
The nurse came over to us.
Nurse- are you all here for Erin?
J- yes, I'm her husband. What's happened?
Nurse- well I'm pleased to say that she is improving. Her blood pressure is lowering and her heart rate is returning back to normal. We hope she will be awake within the next few hours or so. At the moment we have given her some medicine to help her sleep so that her body can mend itself.
J- thank you! That's amazing news! Thankyou.
Sian and I hugged. She was going to be ok. Everything would be alright.
After the news Sian and I decided to take a visit to the baby unit to see Erin and Jamie's new baby. He was gorgeous, he was so tiny, so pale and already he had a small lot of ginger hair.
H- I want one.
'Take that one, no ones around I won't arrest you.' A voice from behind said. I turned around to find Luke standing there. I wheeled over to him and hugged him.
H- Thankyou so much for everything you have done today. God knows what would have happened if you weren't there to catch me haha.
L- no probs sarg. Guess I better get used to calling you that.
H- yes you better haha.
L- Cass and Kerry are sitting in the family room, I said I'll come look for you.
H- well you found me.
Sian came up and tapped me on the shoulder.
S- I'm going to go up and see if there's any more news on Erin.
H- ok I'll see you in abit.
Sian walked off.
L- have you saw Jake yet?
H- no?
L- I rang him for you. Like you asked. I'm sure he will be on his way.
H- yes.
I wonder where he is?
L- want me to take you back up to your room to wait for him?
H- thanks Luke. Will you tell Cass and Kerry that they can come up aswell.
L- sure.
Luke pushed me into the elevator and we went up to floor 8 where my room was. We turned the corner and I caught a glimpse of my room and it was filled with my favourite flowers, pink and white roses. Like pushed me in and Jake was sitting in the bed.
L- I'll leave you too to it then
He laughed and walked away.
H- what's all this?
J- for my favourite girl.
H- Aww. Thank you!
I could feel myself blushing.
J- how are you?
H- better now that your here. I'm ok just abit achy and stuff hence the chair.
J- aw my poor baby. Anything I can do?
H- come here.
Jake walked over to me and I kissed him slowly and then all at once. We were interrupted by a fake cough coming from the door.
Ahem
We looked up and it was Racheal.
H- oh hey.
R- hi. How are you?
H- I'm ok. Any news on Erin?
R- they are trying to wake her up now. That's why I came up.
H- oh right we need to go.
R- come on
