Chapter 24

The wedding
Hannah's pov
Dubai, sun, sea, sand, love and a wedding.
I woke up to Jake kissing me on the neck, I turned over and kissed him on the lips we cuddled for a minute and then I realise!
SHIT! Today's the wedding!
I jumped up and got a quick shower, Jake decided to jump in with me, so the shower took a bit longer than planned and then I ran down to the spa where Lucy was already getting her hair done and Sian and Chloe were waiting. I burst in.
H- how late am I?!
L- about half an hour.
They all giggled.
H- oh shit sorry, I umm slept in.
C- slept with Jake more like.
I blushed and everyone laughed again.
H- no! I actually really never we just had a cute night and then a shower this morning.
S-sure ok
They all laughed again.
H- your all very giggly this morning
L- well I need go have some fun before I'm tied down for life.
H- you know the truth lucy? I didn't really like you. And I get the impression that you didn't like me either. But ever since my crash I've seen a different side to you and I honestly do like you now.
L- same here Hannah, your actually ok
We both laughed and continued to get our hair done.
After our hair was finished I went to see Nicky. I arrived at his room and he was pacing up and down. He saw me and hugged me.
N- thank god your here! I've needed a familiar face!
H- woah are you ok?!
N- no I don't know if I can do this?!
H- you are not bringing everyone all the way here to not marry her. If you didn't want to marry her you could have said so before so we could have been sunbathing or swimming with dolphins instead of sweating our brains out in pretty yet hot outfits!
He laughed
N- see this is why I fell for you, you make me laugh and feel better plus your totally gorgeous.
H- Nicky are you fucking kidding me right now?! We agreed to leave what happened in the past. And to bring it up on your wedding day? Your fucking wedding day?!
He went to speak but didn't. I lost it.
H- you can't mess with my head like this! You tell me you love me, we sleep together, you tell me you are going to break up with Lucy so that we can be together. Then I find out from Chloe; NOT EVEN YOU! That that was never going to happen?! You love me but you can't do that to her! Well fuck you!
The only reason I'm coming to this wedding is because I'm actually friends with Lucy. I don't even know you anymore!
I stormed away.
N-Hannah wait please!
I turned back, all I could See was red.
H- you know If you loved me you would have shown it. So don't ever try to sugarcoat it with 'I did love you, I still do' bull. Because guess what? I'm with Jake. Someone who isn't afraid to hide our love. He would die for me and I would die for him. The only death in our relationship would be you because I killed you for being such an ass. Drop dead.
I stormed away. I don't actually ever been so angry In my life. I bumped into Jake.
J- wow your bright red! Are you ok?!
H- ye.. Just erm hot yes hot. I'll see you later I need to get to the beach ok?
J- ok just have a drink of water to cool you down or something ok?! Your hot enough already.
He kissed me on the forehead and went to find the others to walk to the beach with.
I caught up with Jose, the wedding planner and he gave me a lift in the golf buddy to the beach.
I got off and standing there on the raised platform waiting for his bride and guests was Nicky.
Ugh, how on earth was I going to be able to laugh and joke about our friendship when we no longer have one?
I'd just have to act. Afterall it is my Job so I can't be that bad at it right? I suppose with work though, personal feelings don't come into it.
Unfortunately, because I was his best woman I had to stand right next to him. He smiled at me, I just rolled my eyes and looked to the clearing were I could see everyone arriving in their perfect dresses and tuxs.
Everyone smiled at me and Nicky, he waved back and I just gave them a small smile. I think it was easy to tell I didn't want to be there.
N- do you have the rings?
H-obviously
N- ok good just checking
H- ok
Priest- please be upstanding for the bride
Everyone stood up. She looked gorgeous. Her wedding dress was absolutely fabulous.
Priest- please be seated
Usually wedding blah blah
Priest- Nicholas, repeat after me. I Nicholas McDonald take the Lucy McPartland
N- I Nic.. Cough sorry erm i Nicholas....
I Nicholas McDonald take.. Take the Llllucy McPartland- no no that's not right no! I Nicholas McDonald take the Hannah Hanson
Everyone gasped. Me especially.
He walked over to me and grabbed my hand. I was paralysed to the spot.
N- it's you it's always been you.
He lent in to kiss me. I pushed him back and he fell.
H- what the hell do you think your doing?!
N- you told me if I love you, ever loved you I should have shown it. Well I am now. Hannah please I love you.
H- it's too late. It has been too late since the minute Chloe told me the truth. Jake is the one I want. The one I love. Maybe if you had done what you said you were going to do things would have worked out differently. But you never. I'm with Jake I'm happy and I love him.
N- hannah please?
J- did you not hear what she just said? Are you deaf as well as stupid?! She doesn't want you she wants me!
Nicky threw a punch at Jake but missed. However Jake didn't miss him. It soon turned into a fight on the sand. Lucy and I screamed stop. Dana and Harvey pulled them apart. Jake was screaming and shouting, I've never seen him like that; I've never seen Nicky like that either if I'm honest.
Nicky ran off, God knows where to. Lucy tried to chase him sobbing. I grabbed her
H- he isn't worth it! He's a shit!
She shoved me away
L- it takes one to know one.
She stormed away from me.
Wow ok I did not see that coming. at all.
