"Welcome to Montrose Academy."

Trees and trees is all I saw as I sat in the backseat of the car that would take me to my new home and school.

The driver was silent and would occasionally tilt his head to the rear view mirror and take a look at me.He was dressed in a black suit with black sunglasses like the Men in Black, hopefully without a neuralyzer.

I had landed from my flight in Toronto and had been trapped in this car for at least two hours. We had passed Stratford, which meant we were almost there.

Our destination was Montrose Academy. An academy for people who had special gifts or powers. At least that's what it said on the letter I received. The school had been built back in the eighties,in the backwoods of Stratford, deeply hidden within thick trees and brush. No normal human had ever stumbled upon it even on accident. It was that secretive.

"We're almost there Miss.Once we get there,I'll escort you to Headmistress Huntington who will give you all your necessary papers."He said sternly as he looked at me through the rearview mirror, his brown eyes meeting my bright blue ones.

"Papers?"I asked.

"Your school schedule and your dorm assignment."

"Oh."

He focused back onto the road and I returned to looking out the window. The car began to decelerate in speed and I shuffled in my seat to get a better view of what we were approaching.

"Welcome to Montrose Academy." He said as he pressed the accelerator. I looked through the window to see tall iron gates opening with large limestone watch towers on each side.

The campus was huge.It had large grass areas where people were lounging. It had basketball courts next to each other. The dorm buildings were tall and looked relatively new. I saw some people paying attention to the car trying to get a look of the new girl on campus.

Suddenly the car stopped and the driver quickly turned it off. Before I knew it he was at my door opening it for me.

"Super speed."I stated as I looked at him and he gave me a soft smile.

"Welcome to your new home,Miss. I think you'll like it here.Headmistress Huntington is already waiting for you."He reported, closing the door. I looked at the building in front of me and I let out a sigh.Walking towards it,and opening the door I was greeted by a woman who was in her mid twenties, running her fingers skillfully across her white keyboard.

Before I had a chance to say anything, she filled the silence, "Are you Miss Montero?Headmistress is waiting for you in her office. Her office is down the hall to the left."The woman stated and returned to typing on her computer.I followed her directions and strutted down the hall.I found her office,it had a nameplate across the door.

Knocking twice,I waited until the headmistress acknowledged me.

"Come in."The person inside claimed.

Twisting the door knob,I stepped inside a white room.A woman with straight blonde hair, that reached just past her shoulders, stood behind a brown desk. She wore a white blouse tucked into a grey pencil skirt that sat just above her hips.

"Hello, you must be Miss Montero. I'm headmistress Huntington."She introduced herself. She also offered her outstretched hand for me to shake.I took it with my right hand.

"Please take a seat."

I did.

"I was looking through your file,Miss Mont-"

"Allie."I cut her off.She smiled at me and continued, "Allie. As I was saying I was looking through your file and I must say that you are extremely gifted. You have super-strength.You can fly at the speed of light. You can project "starbolts"?"She looked up at me when she read the last word.
