Chapter 8- Happy Birthday

I decided to visit and explore Great Britain alone until I saw Heid approaching me, he decided to join me by my side as I walked towards the exit

"Hey where ya going?" He asked in his British accent, the way every word rolls out smoothly was oddly satisfying and hypnotizing like I melt at every word that rolls of his tongue and escapes from his mouth

"I was going to explore the city" I said answering him curious as to why he suddenly asked

"Well how 'bout I joined ya?" He asked enthusiastically while I just nodded and smiled at him.

We found ourselves reaching Bristol Harbour when suddenly Heid grabbed my hand leading me to go inside the boat.

"Surprise love!" Heid said showing off his surprise to me

His British accent once again showed, hearing the word love smoothly leave his mouth once again and hypnotized on how his accent affected me this much.

"You didn't think I'd forgotten your birthday have you?" He asked, I was shocked as he remembered, I haven't told anyone that as I normally hated birthdays since no one cared to show how important that day was to me before

"I don't know what to say, thank you really" I said flashing a very sincere and warm smile at him, I was grateful because for the first time in my life someone actually cared about my special day, I felt the most important person for the day, I felt something I haven't for a very long time, I felt wanted and that feeling drove adrenaline into my veins feeling excited at the new feeling rush through my body.

Heid and I decided to travel the city by sea, we were having fun and laughing about life, we were overall just happy before he asked me a question

"Why didn't you tell anyone 'bout how special this day was for you?" He asked seriously with a hint of curiousness in his voice, I looked directly at his eyes as I answered him seriously

"Because it's the same day my father died" I looked back at the sea watching it's calm blues wash it's color away turning to white as it splashed into rocks

"I'm sorry" He smiled nervously while having a hint of sadness in his eyes, I laughed trying to lighten the aura between us

"How 'bout another drink?" I asked trying to stir our conversation away from the topic, he nodded staring at my dark brown eyes.

We went back to the shore and decided to go back to the hotel. I went back to my room only to be surprised to see Avian popping a party popper while Damian was popping a champagne bottle

"Seriously how does everyone know my birthday?" I asked bewildered by the fact that everyone marked their calendar for my birthday

"You should thank your manager for that" Andrea winked at me while answering my question, I hugged them all as they made this day the most memorable day in my whole 21 now 22 years of existence but for some reason all I did was find where Ace was, he wasn't here and I was consumed by that thought.

I decided to leave the party for the mean time and go to the lobby for some fresh air since it was the evening so there wasn't much people in there. I was bewildered as I saw Ace playing the piano, he played my "Heart will go on" which was my favorite song. Ace moves to give me space to sit on

"What's all this?" I asked him

"Well if it wasn't obvious, it was for you" He smiled still focused at playing the piano.

I can't help but stare at him, his passion once again showing through his eyes and his hands having fun while pressing the key creating peace and harmony between the notes. He stopped playing for a bit only to turn and look at me, he grabbed my head and brush off a few strands off my face

"Happy Birthday Luna" I saw him smile genuinely for the first time, his smile was beautiful, it was full of joy something I haven't seen neither from his lips nor his eyes and it brought me joy just by looking at it, just by his lips forming a curve at both ends showing his pearly white teeth, he took out a box temporarily taking off his hands from my face

"Here" He gave me the box, I opened the blue velvet box neatly tied by a white ribbon, it was a silver necklace with a moon pendant, it was simple yet was elegant and illuminating

"It reminded me of you" He smiled while explaining his gift

"It wasn't too much yet the beauty it held was captivating because of its elegance and simplicity, it reminded me of you Luna" He smiled once again touching my face

"May I?" He asked, asking if he may put the necklace on my neck, I didn't hesitate and turned around while pushing my hair off to the side where he now had put the necklace. He played the piano once again this time still looking at my face

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY once again Luna" He smiled once again

"Really, Thank you Ace" I smiled back, I smiled not because of what he did but because of the thought he put in, it wasn't as extravagant as Heid did but it was because of how he did it, he put in every thought of me that he had to give me this beautiful present not only the necklace but his words, how he made me feel important and needed, how he made me feel like someone whom had something powerful in her, he made me feel someone.

We decided to spend the rest of the night by him playing the piano while we watch the night sky from the windows while I was almost asleep at the crook of his neck feeling home once again.

Author's note :

Another cute scene! Also this might probably the longest chapter I've ever written. You now know where Laiyllah or Luna had gotten her necklace at the cover of which came from Ace! I also had gotten rid of my writer's block as of now and now have decided to write more than a chapter in a day, I also know that the story might be going and moving to fast but bare with me it's part of the story line and it won't all be this mushy it's just that it's the start of the story so please bare with me.
