Chapter 12- Silver Lining

We then took a flight to Seoul, South Korea, Andrea's hometown, the next day. We quickly went to get our luggage once again while Andrea welcomes us to her home Seoul

"한국에 오신 것을 환영합니다, 로열티!" She greeted us enthusiastically when a couple approached us

"내 아기!" (My baby!) the lady greeted Andrea while the man hugged her

"엄마 아빠!" (Mom and dad!) she greeted in return.

I forgot how happy it would feel when you would see your parents once again, I forgot how to be hugged and be told of I love yous from your parents, I missed how my father hugged and cradled me in his arms, I missed how my mother could look at me in the eye and told me she loved me, I missed feeling at home.

While Andrea decided to stay the night at her parent's house we decided to check in at our hotel, after organizing our stuff, all of us decided to have dinner at Samwon Garden (삼원가든), it was beautiful inside and outside, the architectural design of the building itself made us feel like we traveled back to the earlier years here in Korea where the Choson Dynasty once ruled.

It also gave off this traditional aura and experience, it made us feel overwhelmed by the delicious smell of the bulgogi and ribs being marinated as it sizzled because of the hot charcoal underneath.

We sat somewhere a little further to the back, Damian and Heid sat beside me while Avian and Ace sat in front of us, Heid decided to lead the cooking of the meat, he looked serious but cute at the same time, the way his hands covered in veins handled vigorously the tongs while cutting through the ribs as well, the ways his hair fell in a elegant manner in his head, and the way he still looked happy every time the oil splashed at his hands made me chuckle at how cute he looked.

While we were eating Ace kept looking at me, he looked happy but I was confused as to why, he kept smiling at me with a glimmer in his eyes that is mostly never there. He took a piece of the cooked pork and placed it on my plate I smiled at him returning the favor and put a piece of cooked pork in his plate. We finished eating and decided to split into groups to explore the city, I got stuck with Heid and Ace because of Avian's "matchmaking" I scoffed.

We agreed to go to Changdeokgung where the Choson dynasty used to rule, I loved the architectural design of the palace because of the way of the even most fiery red seemed calm when placed next to the cool mint green, the way the gold highlighted the main structure of the palace tying the whole look together.

I didn't realize how chilly it was until I was shivering, I forgot that I left my jacket in the hotel which is why I tried to hide the shivering for as long as I could until Ace figures out what was going on and took his jacket from his body giving it to me leaving him with a thin piece of shirt, I didn't accept it knowing that he would be the one to freeze if he gave it to me but he insisted so I grabbed it knowing he wouldn't stop if I didn't.

It was filled with the scent of the perfume he wore, it was strong and dark but there was a hint of sweetness in the smell making me think of him immediately, the way his eyes doesn't seem to glimmer and can only have darkness but if you find the silver lining in him fast enough you would see the way his eyes shine, every time he sings, every time he has this passion in him, every time he gave me those little moments

"SILVER LINING" He spoke looking into my eyes

"The scent of the perfume" He answered while smiling, seeing as to how confused I looked.

We went back to the hotel and I realized that I was still wearing Ace's hoodie, it still reeked of his smell, his scent which now lingers not only to his hoodie but to my room and bed sheets as well making me melt as I inhaled every bit of it.

Author's note :

We're finally in Seoul, South Korea! I know this isn't as long as the other ones but I liked this chapter better than some of the chapters I wrote. The perfume scent isn't real as well or I think it isn't, I'm not sure but all I know is that if there is I didn't take it from them but from my imagination. 다음 시간까지 :))
