Chapter 20- Betrayed

As we were eating breakfast I heard the doorbell rang which is why I quickly rushed to the front door. As I opened it, I didn't notice anyone's presence near our front porch. As I was to close the door, I saw a package, it was a box with my name and address written on top signifying that it was meant for me.

I went inside my room to check the package after I finished my breakfast. Before I opened the package, I looked at my walk-in closet to look for clothes to change into when I saw the blue sparkling flowy dress of which Ace gave me, I remembered the charming night that he planned for the two of us. I opened my instagram as I saw the IGTV that Avian recorded, it showed Ace and I talking as he grabbed my chin with his one finger to get me to look at him as he said the words 'Let's make it official' that still sent shivers down my spines every time I think about it. The night was perfect, there was nothing more that I could wish for that wasn't already there last night.

While I stared at my ceiling of which I painted the night sky when I was a kid, I remembered the package. I grabbed my scissors that was placed at my desk, to cut through the tape causing the box to open. I screamed, I saw a picture of my family edited for them to look like corpses, the box was smeared with blood.

'Better make the best out of it since it won't last' the note on top read.

I saw the rest of my friends  go inside the room as I was sitting on top of my bed with a waterfall of tears coming from my eyes. Ace sat down beside me as he looked at the box, I saw him look at Avian as he grabbed the box and gave it to her.

"Luna...look at me" he spoke as I looked at him with my eyes redder than usual as the tears kept on streaming down my eyes

"We'll get through this alright?" He said softly as I just nodded and he kissed the top of my head

As night time approaches, I heard my someone knock on my door only to see Andrea outside my door, I opened it as I saw her crying, her face was puffy with the same red tint in her eyes as it had on mine. She hugged me repeating the word 'sorry' over and over again. I hugged her back as I caressed her hair attempting to comfort her in return.

"What happened?" I asked as softly as I can while still hugging her.

"I'm sorry..." she replied still refusing to tell what had happened until she stopped hugging me and faced me.

[ANDREA'S POV]

I was finishing up my breakfast along with Avian, Ace, Damian, and Heid while Laiyllah went to open the door as the doorbell rang.

Laiyllah had bid goodbye as she went upstairs with a box in her hands. We all looked at the package of which she held, curious as to what was inside. As we continued to chat and dine, we heard a loud shriek inside Laiyllah's room. We all panicked as we went inside her room, she was crying, her face was puffy.

Ace went closer as he sat on her bed, he hugged her as she quietly sobbed in his embrace. As Ace looked at Avian, he showed her the package, I ran, I ran as far away as I can from the room realizing it was a package of which I sent.

Someone grabbed my arm from behind as I ran out of the room with tears streaming my eyes as well. It was Heid, he grabbed my chin attempting to raise it with his fingers as I continued to stare at the floor boards still ashamed of my actions.

"Why did you run?" He asked as softly as he can while his British accent continuously showed

"I'm sorry... I did it" I answered in response as he grabbed me in his embraced as I continued to cry.

Thoughts started to swirl inside my mind, I remembered I was mad, mad at Laiyllah for betraying me as she got her happy ending with Arian. But it was months ago! I suppressed my anger and accepted it, I didn't realize that the package was still on going. I knew that it had ended the moment I asked them to but apparently it didn't.
