Tanjiro was born into the Komado family as the youngest child. He was the last addition to the family.
They had been a happy family. Playing games, dancing- having nice meals. Although the family didn't have much contact with the outside world, all the needed was each others company.
Of course, nothing can go smoothly in such a cruel world they live in.
Tanjiro's father for unknown reasons left the family. He left the family with nothing to live off of. And the heavy burden of raising all six children to the mother of the group. Kie Kamado.
She was a respected woman, always caring for everyone else. She made sure that everyone was fed before she was. And worked long hours in the villages below the mountain for the money the family desperately needed.
Though, it still haunted the woman the fact that her husband left her. She didn't have a reason for his disembarking.
Life stayed stable for a couple years after the loss of one family member. The other siblings were tasked with taking care of the young while their hardworking mother earned them money.
It was cruel how the world worked. Really.
Everything changed when it was Tanjiro's second birthday.
Kie had taken the day off her job in the village to celebrate her babies special birthday. And it was only then she realized the woman hadn't seen her child for years.
Tanjiro was still very small, probably getting that from her. But she noticed his dark red hair, and burning blood eyes. His hair.. his name.. it was just like Tanjuro. Her excuse for a husband. Tanjiro looked just like Tanjuro.
And it made her angry.
Her eldest child, Nezuko welcomed her back home. "Mother! We're almost ready to begin the celebration!" She bellowed cheerfully.
The eldest of the children, Nezuko. Took all of her mother's features. She had long black hair, a slim body, and pink blossom eyes.
Kie smiles happily has she took off her hat. "I'll be right there sweetly!" She told her, and Nezuko nodded. The girl skipped away happily.
Well, maybe if I just cut Tanjiro's hair- maybe he won't.. The woman trailed off as she looked at her son.
