"It's getting dark in my little heart of mine"
[Three Years Later]
"Nezuko, lets go." A deep male voice called out, beckoning a young girl in a pink kimono to follow behind him. The girl had long black hair, with orange tips at the bottom. It blew beautifully in the light wind that came through the window.
Sighing, the presumed Nezuko placed down the book she was read. She stood up slowly as she grabbed her demon-blade from a stand on the table beside her.
Unlike the woman's black hair, the other male had dark blue hair which seemed to mimic a midnight sky. In a woman's standards, the man was uncontrollably handsome. He was an eye-catcher. Though, never showed any interest in any other female than Shinobu and Nezuko.
The man stood in-front of the entrance of the room, turning the other way as he let the other person change into their uniform.
Once Nezuko was finished changing, she followed her comrade towards the entrance of the demon-slayer corps.
"Is there another mission?" Nezuko asked as they walked out the door.
Her friend crossed his arms, frowning. He leaned against a nearby tree.
"You're not going to like this news, Nezuko." He mumbled, making the girl change her expression from a bright to a serious one.
"I've caught wind of an mass murder being committed in one of the major cities." He began, making Nezuko ball her hands into fists.
Murder wasn't uncommon in her world. But facing a mass-murder was a different story. Usually, that called for the demon slayers to do investigation. People doubted that a human would go to such lengths.
"Did the victims have any major blood loss?" She asked, wanting to confirm her suspicions.
"Ah.. you already figured it all out I presume. I'll just skip to the details." His voice told her that he was somewhat impressed by her deduction skills. Though, it was just piercing together simple logic.
"Firstly, I'm presuming that this is a high-ranked demon we're going to be facing off with."
Nezuko nodded, frowning slightly.
"Secondly, the whole city is on lockdown. No one is allowed to exit the city. You can enter, but you are not allowed to leave." He explained, making the girl raise her eyebrows.
That explanation didn't make sense, so so she asked him.
"Why? Are they trying to protect citizens Giyu?" She questioned, earning her a shake of the head for her.
"Quite the opposite actually, the city is quarantining the city until they catch the culprit." Giyu told her, making her eyes go wide.
"Are you saying that the murderer is still inside of the city!?" Nezuko bellowed, making her friend nod.
