"I wish I could just escape from life."
"H-how could this happen?" Her voice stuttered.
The look the two exchanged was only filled with concern. Both of them were stuck with the unwilling feeling of shock.
But then the thought came to them.
Who could have committed such a crime?
Both Giyu and Nezuko began sprinting as fast as they could towards the burning town. Both intent on catching the culprit before they escaped. Though, they would have to save the many lives at risk. A decision was needed to be made.
As they got closer, Nezuko's nose picked up upon the horrible smell of smoke. And in doing so, the smoke began to fill her fragile lungs. She had a slight cough-attack as she ripped off a piece of her kimono and placed it over her nose. Nezuko noticed Giyu doing the same thing.
"Giyu, you work on saving as many people as possible. I'll work on finding the culprit and bring them to justice." She told Giyu. He gave her a nod as he raced off towards the burning buildings and screaming towns-people.
Nezuko began scurrying around the town at a fast pace. Using her enhanced eye-sight to study the burning town. Searching for anything suspicious.
"Ne-zu-ko!" A voice said playfully in her head.
The voice seemed familiar. Had she heard it before? Perhaps it was just the effects of the smoke. It made her brain go haywire?
"Use your senses." She heard it more clearly this time. And the voice didn't belong to her. It was the sound of a young boy. Maybe her mind used another persons voice to comfort her–
"You'll find [something] interesting."
She thought about it for a moment. Was she seriously going to take advice from a voice in her head? The smoke had defiantly made her go insane. But why give that advice? Nezuko was already using her senses.. unless.
Her teacher had taught her one special technique. Which he called 'Full Focus Breathing.'
"This technique requires your full and utmost attention. Focus on your breathing and your breathing only. That way, it'll enhance all five of your senses!" The boy in her mind narrated what she remembered her Sensei teaching her.
Maybe she was going crazy. But Nezuko had to do whatever she could to catch the culprit. Even stooping down to their level.
Bringing her full attention to her breathing, she thought about nothing but that.
Taking a deep breath in and out, she felt her whole body go deep in a soft and peaceful feeling.
It was light, easily movable. And now, everything around her moved like slow motion.
Expect one thing.
(I wrote the chapter, then it didn't save. I'll just rewrite it in the next chapter.)
