Acoyssa's POV
It's the last morning of the day before New Year's Eve; alas quatro pa lang yata ay nagkakagulo na sa kusina.
Mom probably supervise the cooking again. She's a hands on occasion host anyway.
"Good morning, ate Acy. Feeling alright?", bati sa akin ni Eden pagkababa ko sa hagdan.
I'm kinda feel tardy.
"Uhm yeah, Good morning", ganting bati ko dito.
"Lazy? Make the last day of the year productive, Acoyssa", hirit pa ni tatay.
He's reading a newspaper while sipping a freshly brewed dark coffee.
"Opo tatay. Ang dalawa po nasaan?", tanong ko ditong ang tinutukoy ay si Luv at Meesh.
Usually, they're the most lively in time like this.
"Meesh is still in her room, may ino-observe kasi syang morning star na most visible daw ngayon. While ate Luv went out so early, she's picking up something daw", salaysay ni Eden.
Nagkibit-balikat lang kasi si Tatay.
"Uh-hmm. Got it.", I shortly replied while nodding.
I head to the kitchen and almost laugh upon seeing Nanay.
Talo pa nya ang kusinerang hindi magkamayaw sa kung alin ang uunahin sa niluluto.
"Good morning, 'Nay. So busy huh?", puna ko dito then I give her a kiss on the cheek.
Even tiredness was visible with her appearance, she's still dazzling as always.
"Of course, especially now that I found out that your abuela will come over. Everything must be set perfectly", saad nito na nagpalaki ng mata ko.
"Wait, what? Pupunta dito si lola? Seriously 'nay?", kinakabahang tanong ko.
How about Levinson's surprise arrival? Gosh!
My mom look at me with her eyebrows colliding from one another, she's suspecting something;
"What kind of reaction was that Acy? Don't you want your Lola to come here? When did you lost your manner ha?", mahinahon ngunit may diin ang bawat pagbigkas ni nanay ng mga salita.
I really got her mad.
"No nanay, uhm.. I'm just shocked. Nothing more, nothing less. I just never expect that", paliwanag ko rito.
"Now that you learned about it, I hope your glad", normal na ang tono na sagot nito.
Luckily, nanay didn't asked more.
"Syempre 'nay, I miss her. She's the best grandma kaya", pangungumbinsi ko pa sa kanya.
She just smile at me as if she's satisfied with what I said then continue to marinade her special barbeque.
Matapos kong uminom ng tea at kainin ang natira kong vegetable salad kagabi ay agad akong bumalik sa kwarto ko.
I immediately dial Levinson's number but he's not picking ut up!
"Levinson! Gosh! C'mon answer it!", I yell in irritation.
Paano na 'to?
Ugh!
After few more calls;
"At last! Bakit ang tagal mong sumagot? Gosh Levi!", I scream as soon as the line connected.
"Woah, relax sweetie. What are you nagging about?", malumanay na pahayag nito.
Bumuntong hininga muna ako at magsasalita na dapat nang mapansin kong may iba sa background ng boses ni Levi.
"Are you on the road?", tanong ko dito.
At first, I thought the line was just chappy but upon repeatedly hearing vehicles horn and noise curiosity raised in me.
"Uh, I guess so?", sabi nito na tila hindi sigurado.
"Levinson!", sigaw ko sa pangalan nito hudyat na hindi ako nakikipag-biruan sa kaniya.
"Alright, oo na. I'm actually driving", Levi confessed after letting out a chuckle.
"Don't tell me you're heading here already?", naguguluhang sabi ko.
"How did you know?", he said as if I say something unimaginable.
"Hoy Levinson, it's just eight o'clock for Pete's sake!", histerikal na paninita ko dito but the guy just laugh.
"I know, I know. Calm down sweetie, you're really much nervous than me. May meeting ako with a client dyan din sa Antipolo, stop being hysterical", paliwanag nito.
After a long discussion, his visit at Hacienda Del Yu wasn't postpone.
Buo na daw ang loob nya, and he actually can't stop himself to meet my family.
I admit it, he's kinda sweet with his courage.
