~Later that day~

Aimi was adjusting the lights for the rehearsal, Legoshi having been sent away to go to ask for roses for the club decor.

“Hey, Aimi, you need help?” Kai the Mongoose asked.

“No, but thank you, Kai. I think I’m getting the hang of everything,” Aimi said, smiling down at Kai from the balcony. The Mongoose blushed lightly and looked away.

“Okay, just let me know if you need anything,” Kai said, walking away.

“Thanks, Kai, you’re a sweetheart,” Aimi said, going back to adjusting the lights a bit more.

“Hey, Aimi, Louis wanted to talk to you,” Bill said, walking over to the balcony.

“Tell him I don’t wanna talk to him,” Aimi said, already knowing what her upperclassman wanted to talk about.

“I don’t know, it seemed really important,” Bill said.

“Believe me it’s not,” Aimi said.

“Well can you tell him that?” Bill asked, not really wanting to tell Louis that Aimi didn’t want to speak to him.

“Fine...” Aimi said, sighing in defeat. She climbed down from the balcony and walked to Louis’s office. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door slowly.

“Come in,” Louis called. Aimi opened the door and walked inside, closing the door behind her. Louis looked up at Aimi and stood up quickly.

“Look, I came here to say I don’t wanna t-” Aimi began.

“What’s up with you and Legoshi?” Louis asked. Aimi got quiet and turned away from him.

“That’s none of your business,” Aimi said. She heard Louis walking closer to her, standing behind her.

“Does he know about us?” Louis asked.

“There is no us, Louis. Not after what you did,” Aimi answered, moving away from him.

“I said I was sorry, Aimi,” Louis said, “It just happened I wasn’t thinking straight.”

“You slept with my best friend, my only friend just days after you slept with me,” Aimi said.

“I never planned for it, honestly,” Louis said. Aimi walked to the other side of the office.

“If you didn’t plan for it to happen...” she turned to look at him, anger building in her eyes. “Then why do you still smell like her?”

“Aimi...” Louis said, not knowing what else to say. “Let me explain.”

“No, let me explain this to you. You met a Freshman girl your Sophomore year and took advantage of her. You saw that she was broken and couldn’t fit in and told her you’d take care of her. You tricked her into falling in love with you, tricked her into giving you her virginity, then disappeared for three days. She caught you sleeping with her best friend, and you pretended she wasn’t there,” Aimi said, her back still turned to him. She turned around and looked at him, tears of anger in her eyes. “I trusted you, I told you everything. All of my struggles, all of my pain...and you took advantage of me. I quit the gardening club, because I couldn’t look Haru in the eyes. I lost the only place I could safely sleep. I’m sleeping on a bench now, because the staff don’t know where to put me! I don’t fit in anywhere now, because of you,” Aimi said, breaking down in tears, feeling so much anger towards Louis, making her relive the pain all over again.

“Aimi, I...” Louis sighed and walked over to her. Aimi pushed him away and cried more. “I still love you, Aimi.”

“You can’t do that to me, Louis. You can’t just break my heart and still say that you love me,” Aimi said. “Just leave me alone.”
