Chapter 18

“Oh my God,” Havana gasped, “Is that…Is that Seth Dawson?”

“Where?!” Danielle demanded, her eyes devouring the room.

“By the chocolate fountain!” Havana’s eyes were as big as saucers, “Do I look okay? Is my make-up smudged?”

“No, you look fine!” Danielle spared a glance at Havana, “What about me?”

“You look perfect honey,” Havana said in a breath, “Come on, let’s go meet Seth Dawson!”

Jake, Summer, Cameron and Zach all stared at the two fan girls with opened mouths and raised eyebrows.

“I swear this is the only time of the year I see Havana like that,” Zach said, shaking his head.

“You mean unorganized-fan-girly- giggly Havana?” Cam asked and Zach nodded solemnly, “I agree.”

“Who’s this Seth Dawson, anyway?” Summer asked, looking at Jake, Cam and Zach, who exchanged worried looks.

“You’re better off without knowing he is,” Cam quickly said, slinging a shoulder around Summer and leading her to the buffet table.

“Hey!” Jake cried, “She’s my girl!” He slapped Cam’s arm off Summer’s shoulder and replaced it with his own. Summer couldn’t help but blush.

The whole setting of the Christmas Ball at the Dawson Mansion had swept Summer off her feet. But Summer herself had left Jake breathless. Her shimmering brown hair was done in perfect sexy waves, cascading down her back. Her make-up was perfect and the dress complimented her body beautifully, not to mention the matching pair of black pumps beneath her floor-brushing dress.

The Dawson Mansion had seemed to have gone under a whole transformation completely. Fresh poinsettias were placed all over the place, skillfully arranged together with golden baubles and glittering ribbons. Not only that, mistletoes hung all over the house, with glittery red and gold ribbons tied into perfect bows right above them. Little embroidered socks hung over the live fireplace in the living room of the Dawson Mansion, the fire confidently blazing and warming up the air. A tall pine tree was placed right beside the fireplace, all shapes and sizes of glittery shiny red, golden and silver baubles hung all over it. Right at the peak of the pine tree was a radiating porcelain angel. Below the tree were loads of presents from the guests that arrived. Big, small, long, thin, not to mention, branded, presents littered the bottom of the tree.

But the interior of the house wasn’t the main attraction of the whole Ball. It was the beautifully designed garden that wowed everyone the most. Even the carpet grass of the garden was trimmed to perfection. But most of the garden was made of the patio anyway. On the left and right of the patio was a long table that was filled with delicious mouth-watering food. Poinsettia, mistletoe and holly decorated the food.

The middle of the patio was an open space where people walked and casually chatted at. Havana had told Summer that it was for the traditional dance later on in the night. All the other space left on the garden was filled with round tables with red tablecloth and little candles surrounded by poinsettia and mistletoe on them. Safe to say, the whole Dawson Mansion was the most amazing Christmas party you could ever dream of.

Jake and Summer proceeded to the buffet table, where they both split up, choosing their preferred dishes, loading them onto their plates. Summer was just about to grab a croissant when someone swiftly took it first.
