The golden, evening sun beamed down on my skin. I sat beneath my tree with Mila lying in the grass next to me. My fingers brushed over the engravings on the Rune Stone, which hung on a gold chain around my neck. I exhaled a deep breath, remembering the words Kili had spoken when he gave it to me. I missed him more and more everyday, longing for his presence.

I heard tall grass rustling behind me, and all of a sudden, my day dreams were interrupted when I felt a body tackle me to the ground.

I sprawled out onto the itchy grass. "Elora!"

"You really must improve your guard, mother," She giggled as she rolled to the ground with me.

"What on earth was that for?" I laughed.

"Practice...."

I rolled my eyes and sat upright. "Practicing what exactly?"

"Sneak attacks of course."

I smiled down at her. "Well, you my dear,  must be lighter on your feet," I said as I removed the leaves from her hair.

Elora brushed her bangs from her eyes with a smirk and pushed herself up to her feet. "Like I said...practice." She propped her foot on a tree, hoisting herself into the branches. She wrapped her legs around a limb and dangled upside down.

"Rather restless today now aren't we?" A recognizable voice remarked.

"Bilbo!" Elora cried. She swung herself down to greet Bilbo with a hug.
