Y/n

You notice the next day at school that Jimin is alone again at a table in the cafeteria. You can't mess it up this time.

Autumn isn't with you to give you a pep talk- or a hard time- so you take a deep breath as you think of a good thing to say.

"Hey," is all you come up with as you pull out a chair next to Jimin and sit in it.

Jimin pulls out his earbuds- which you didn't notice before- and smiles when he sees you.

"Uh- good morning," he greets you. He waves happily and oh god, he has sweater paws. Just when you thought he couldn't attack you like that anymore- he can.

He's wearing grey jeans and a brown hoodie with black vans. His hair isn't down like usual. Instead it's brushed away from his face. It looks like it's almost floating above his forehead perfectly.

"Morning," you mumble. "Whatcha working on?"

Jimin looks at his piece of paper in front of him and blushes deeply.

"It's-its nothing really," he says. "Just um- something I've been working on for a few weeks."

You look at the paper, but you can't read any of the words on it. They're written in Korean.

"What's it say?" You ask curiously. Jimin averts his eyes for a moment in thought.

Jimin blushes again. "It's a secret," he mumbles, gesturing to the paper. You grin and look at the paper again.

There are a few words written in English but you choose not to read them.

"Secret diary?" You ask teasingly. Jimin shakes his head. "Nope," he replies. "It's-its really nothing special."

You hum. "Doubt it. What if it's secret plans to blow up the teachers lounge?"

"No no! I'm not- I can't- I wouldn't-"

You giggle. "I'm just teasing. That already happened. Some kid set up fireworks in the teachers lounge after Christmas break last year and got expelled. It was pretty stupid, and I don't know where he got em, but it was entertaining."

Jimin chuckles. "You Americans are so..."

"Stupid," you say.

"Wild," he says.

You laugh nervously and look down. Jimin folds the piece of paper in front of him and puts it in his backpack carefully.

He turns in his seat so he is facing you completely. Your heart beats faster for some reason.

"What about you?" He asks. "How was your day yesterday?"

You pick at your nails subconsciously. "It was nice. Didn't really do much. You?"

"I'm still getting used to living here. It feels weird, living far away from home. Although, my host family is very much like my own family, even if it's smaller."

You nod. "That's nice. How long are you here for?"

"About a whole year. I'll be here until the end of school."

You nod. "Then we gotta make this a good trip for you. This really is a crappy town, but there's still so much to do. The mall has a few good stores and a really good pretzel place- oh! And the photo booth by hot topic gives you cards with your photos on them. I always use that one. And it has a nice Japanese place with good chicken- but I wouldn't know how good it is, since I've never been to Japan. Now that I think about it, I think I saw a Korean place over by the-"
