Jimin

Jimin sits on Y/n's bed and drags his hand a through his hair. He needs to get it cut and dyed back to black or something. It's getting to be unhealthy.

His back burns and stings. His legs are weak. His shoulders and cheek are sore. There isn't one spot on his body that doesn't hurt.

Jimin doesn't want to fight Y/n. But he knows he has a point. He won't admit it, but he's scared to leave the house he's grown up in. He knows he can, and a while ago, it seemed so easy.

But as the end draws closer and closer, Jimin realizes how hard it will actually be. His parents are his worst fear, and the only thing that haunts his nightmares- other than Y/n leaving him.

Y/n leaving. What a crazy thought. Jimin knows she won't. Not unless he screws up really bad. But there is a lot of time left before he has to go. Anything can happen. He's afraid of it. He doesn't think they'll fight a lot. The only times they ever fight, it's about each other's safety.

Jimin might even push her away. He doesn't want to, but he's scared. Scared that something will happen when he goes back home and Y/n will get hurt because of it. It's like a block in the back of his mind. It won't move. Almost like it's something that is bound to happen. He fears it.

Jimin understands Y/n's point, but he needs to go back. He can't stay here in Y/n's home. He would become a burden. And what about Mikey? Jimin will be okay as long as Mikey is there. They've been doing this for months now.

There is no need for a big change. Not when there is half a year left.

The door opens and Y/n walks in. She has a scowl on her face but she's blushing. Jimin doesn't like her scowl. For one, it's kind of scary and two, he likes her better happy. It makes him feel happy.

"I forgot my phone," Y/n mutters, embarrassed. She grabs it off her nightstand and turns to leave, but Jimin doesn't want her to leave. He catches her wrist and pulls her toward him. She looks at him, expressionless. Her nose and ears are redder than her cheeks.

"Can-can you please stay with me?" Jimin mumbles. Y/n stares at him. For a long moment, that's all they do. Stare. Think. Feel.

Y/n puts her phone back on the nightstand. She walks back to the door, but only to close it.

When she comes back, she sits next to Jimin on the edge of the bed. He rests his head on her shoulder and wraps his arms around her waist. He doesn't want to fight her. He doesn't like the uneasy feeling in the air.

"I'm sorry," Jimin says. Y/n nuzzles the top of his head. "No. I'm sorry," she says. "I can't really make you stay."

"Can you see where I'm coming from though?"

"Not really. I don't like it. I want you to stay here and be safe. I don't know what Sharon will do to you if you go back."

Jimin closes his eyes. "I'll be okay," he says. "Here." He holds his hand up and sticks out his pinky finger. "I promise. I'll be fine."

Y/n reluctantly wraps her own pinky finger around his. When their thumbs meet, Jimin loosens his pinky to let go but Y/n tightens her grip. "You'll call me when you get there will you?" She asks.

"Yeah, if Sharon gives me the time to."

"You'll call me after... she punishes you?"

"Yes."

"If anything goes even slightly wrong, you'll call me?"

"Yes."

Y/n sighs. "Okay. That makes me feel better. A little."
