I'm feeling so much better now. Someone confessed to me over text (bc I just moved and they finally had the guts to) and it was one of the most flattering things ever. I can't imagine that anyone could have a crush on me. Anyway here is today's chapter.💝

Jimin Focus

Jimin sits bolt upright in bed, sweating from a nightmare. He leans back into his hands, panting, and closes his eyes. But the nightmare flashes through his mind once again and he opens them wide once again.

Jimin looks around his room, taking in every little detail, to bring his mind away from the dream and think about anything else.

He grabs his phone off of his nightstand. Ignoring the time, he goes to his texts to find Y/n. Of course, she's at the top of the list in his contacts. He begins to type and ask if she is awake, when he glances at some of their old texts.

And it's all off.

Even the emojis next to her name.

He scrolls up.

Y/n🥺😔💔

Sorry it just can't work out

What do you mean?

I jumped into this a little too quickly
I want to break up

You want to what?

Gavin is right. He was here first

Jimin's heart suddenly beats too fast and he feels sick. He doesn't remember this text conversation. Maybe this happened right before he went to sleep and that's why he doesn't remember. Is that it?

You can't be serious. Gavin's so rude to you. You're leaving me for him?

I realized I've always loved him more than you

Jimin turns his phone off, feeling dizzy and hot and scared. When did that happen? He doesn't remember any of that. There's no way he would forget any of those texts. There's no way he sent any back. He just doesn't remember.

Jimin puts the phone back on the nightstand and rubs his temples, his head pounding. His nose twitches and turns red as tears rise to his eyes. No. He won't cry. He doesn't want to cry.

Jimin stands up, ignoring the tunnel vision edging around his view of his dark room. He walks to his curtains and opens them to look out his window. Maybe seeing out his window will help him feel better.

The moon is gone. Funny, Jimin could have sworn today was supposed to be a full moon. Maybe he mixed it up and there really is supposed to be a new moon for tonight.

Jimin opens his window to breathe in the night air and clear his mind.

But when he opens it, he doesn't smell fresh air. He smells smoke. He looks around. There, at the end of the street, is a fire. There is a house on fire. And there, next to it, are three human figures. He doesn't recognize two of them but the other, he knows better than anyone.

It's Y/n.

She's crouched down low as the other two figures stand over her in threatening positions.

Jimin closes his curtains and hurries to his door. He doesn't care if Sharon knows he is awake or if she will punish him terribly for leaving the house. He needs to get to Y/n. He hurries down the stairs at the speed of light and sprints out of the front door.

Jimin doesn't remember putting his shoes on, but as he runs, as fast as he can, he doesn't feel anything stabbing his feet. When he looks down, he sees that he is wearing his tennis shoes. Maybe he did it so fast he blanked out on it and can't remember.
