Jimin
Jimin watches the door for her to come out. He's sitting on his bench as usual. He hears the sound of her bus door closing and it drives away.
And soon after that, Y/n comes through the school doors in his hoodie and looks toward Jimin immediately. When she sees him, a smile breaks across her face and she hurries over to him. Jimin matches her smile, his heart beating faster and his mind racing with thoughts of her.
Y/n stops at the bench and drops her backpack to the ground. Jimin looks at her. Her appearance is always so refreshing to him. She has Jimin's brown hoodie on and the sleeves are bunched up around her wrists because it's so big on her. Her hair is put up in a messy ponytail, unlike in Spanish when it was down.
Her lips are bitten raw (she bites her lip a lot, Jimin noticed) and her cheeks are pink. Jimin loves the sight of her.
She sits down next to him.
"You're really pretty," Jimin blurts out before he can stop himself.
Y/n blinks and turns redder somehow. "I mean it," Jimin says. He has to change the subject now or he's gonna get awkward. "So how was class?" He teases. Y/n gives him a dirty look and sighs. "Ugh, I think they all dislike me now," she says. "Because I ignored them after a while."
She spots someone and smiles brightly, waving at them. Jimin follows her gaze to a girl waving back. When she turns away, Y/n drops her smile and rolls her eyes. "Okay maybe they don't dislike me now. Or she's just being friendly because you're here."
Jimin laughs. "What was all that like?"
"Hmm, you should have been there. You'd see for yourself."
"Was it really that bad?"
"It's not my fault you're so attractive," Y/n spurts. Then she gasps and covers her mouth. "I-I mean-"
"I am aren't I?" Jimin says. He makes a face and her red cheeks turn redder. He winks and she buries her face into her knees. Jimin could do this all day. He likes seeing her blush and smile. And it's so easy to provoke, too.
Someone walks up to the bench, and Jimin is nervous that it might be Gavin (as usual) and he has to pry his attention away from Y/n to look up.
It's not Gavin (phew) but a girl Jimin doesn't recognize. Y/n looks up at her. "Hi," she says. The girl grins wide. "We should hang out sometime," she says. "I think we could be friends." As she says it, she shifts on her feet and pops her hip out to the side. Jimin doesn't laugh out loud.
Y/n smiles. "Yeah, sure," she says. The girl pulls her phone out. "Sweet! Can I get your number in here?"
Y/n's smile falters and she wears a disappointed look. "Agh, my phone's dead right now. I don't have my number memorized. Maybe next time?"
"Sure," the girl says. "See you tomorrow." She sends a look toward Jimin and turns around, flipping her hair and walking away. Jimin looks back at Y/n. "How much of that was genuine?" He asks, still trying not to laugh. Y/n pulls out her phone and turns it on.
"I don't even know her name," she says. "I'm not giving her my number so she can use me for you."
Jimin giggles again. "Wow, I can't believe I'm that handsome, can you believe it?" He goads. "Yes," Y/n sighs. And then blinks and blushes and looks away. "I-I mean- I just-"
Jimin laughs hard and leans into her for support. "You're so cute," he says. "I'm glad you had the guts and do what that girl just did."
Y/n's blush doesn't go away but her lips curve upward in a small smile that makes Jimin's heart flutter. "That was so awkward," she mumbles. "I freaking fell."
