Friday morning is peaceful and pleasant. Autumn is absent and so is Brooke. You and Jimin sit next to each other in math and work together on the work your teacher gives you.

In science, the teachers only had limited supplies for a demonstration, and not enough to show every single class, so they joined all the science classes together to be a part of it. You gathered in the cafeteria and went through the demonstration, and then got packets to work on. The really good part about that was that you could go and pick a partner or group from any of the classes.

Obviously you and Jimin teamed up.

By lunch, everything was still pretty great. You ate together with Cassandra and Nathan and Jimin and talked about the coming weekend. Cassandra is another person coming to laser tag with you. Gavin is the last.

After lunch came english. And that's when the entire mood of the day shifted into something different.

You got a text from Gavin about ten minutes before class ended asking if the two of you could talk.

But you didn't want to talk. You wanted to go to Jimin's classroom and walk with him to Spanish, and forget about everyone else in the world because he is all that matters to you.

But you said yes anyway and here you are now, waiting at your desk for the bell to ring- unlike all the kids with their backpacks on waiting at the door. You texted Jimin and told him you weren't going to walk with him to class.

He didn't even ask you why. He replied with an 'okay' and left it at that.

Jimin doesn't ask you about your business. Ever. You let him know your phone password, even, so he could go into your phone at any time and read whatever texts he wants, go through your photos, look through your social media... but he doesn't. He won't. The only thing he's ever gotten into on your phone is your camera, and that's when he's bored and wants to leave you with a dozen photos of his face.

Jimin won't be mad or jealous if you tell him that Gavin is the reason you're not going to walk with him. He won't even ask why Gavin wanted to talk unless he has reason to believe that he hurt your feelings or something.

Jimin trusts you deeply. You trust him deeply.

Why do I think so much about things like this? You wonder. There's nothing to worry about.

The bell rings and you slowly pick up your bag and head to the door. When you get there, Gavin is already walking down the hall to get to your classroom.

"Hello," he says. He looks a tiny bit nervous. What, does he think you'll punch him? Slap him again? You haven't gotten mad or annoyed with Gavin for a while- except when he's blatantly disregarding Jimin. That gets on your nerves.

"Hey," you say, giving Gavin a cheery smile. "You wanted to talk?"

"Yeah. Same spot as last time?"

Ah. Last time. When he pissed you off.

You nod and Gavin grasps your wrist in his hand, then drags you in the direction of the Spanish room and then to the side to the tiny hallway with the bathrooms.

When Gavin stops, you pull your wrist free and rub it. "You didn't have to grasp so hard," you mutter. "I could have walked myself."

"Sorry," Gavin says. You raise an eyebrow. "So?" You ask. "What did you want to talk about?"

Gavin takes a deep breath and fixes the collar of his shirt.

"I'm..." he trails. He blinks and starts again. "I'm uh... I'm kind of infatuated with you."
