Jimin

Jimin follows Y/n down the hallways to get to the janitors closet. Cassandra is already there waiting for them. She was told that Jimin is going to be there too and said it's better that way in case Gavin manages to find a way to get his phone back.

"I'm kind of nervous," Y/n admits. She's playing with the hem of her hoodie- Jimin's hoodie- and her bottom lip is bitten raw. Jimin takes her hand in his and laces their fingers together. "Which part are you nervous about?"

Y/n squeezes his hand. "I just don't know what's going to happen or how Gavin will react or if we'll fail. I will never forgive myself if we fail and he... posts the picture."

Jimin shakes his head. "Don't. It's my fault for not making sure I was hidden."

Y/n purses her lips.

They arrive at the closet and Cassandra is waiting by the door on her phone. She puts it in her pocket and hugs Y/n. "You know I just thought of something. What happened to Autumn? I thought she would be all over helping you with something like this."

In all seriousness, Autumn would just grab the phone out of Gavin's hand and crush it against the ground and we'd be done already. Jimin thinks.

"She uh... she's not an option now. I'll tell you about that later though. Gavin's on his way to the school so we should come up with a plan now."

Y/n opens the door and Cassandra walks in, and Jimin lets Y/n in before he follows after and closes the door.

Inside the janitors closet is dark and it smells like chemicals and mold. Jimin is almost afraid to turn the lights on in case the walls and floors and everything turn out to be disgusting. How has Y/n survived for two whole weeks having to come in here and make out with a jerk?

Y/n turns on her phone flashlight and shines it around the closet, which is much bigger than Jimin thought. The walls aren't that bad. Despite the smell, it's pretty clean. I mean, it is a janitors closet. There are mops lining the walls and a couple of carts with large garbage cans and assortments of cleaning supplies on them. On one side of the closet is a shelf stacked with boxes of garbage bags, tissues, school supplies, basically anything.

Y/n notices the shelf and points to it. "How about you hide there," she says to Jimin. "Because Gavin will be facing the opposite way anyway. And you," she nods to Cassandra and points to the carts. "Hide behind the carts. That way Gavin won't see either of you unless he turns the lights on and looks for you."

"How do you know he won't?" Cassandra asks. Y/n leans against the wall behind her. "Because when Gavin walks in, he always comes for me first. He doesn't pay attention to much else."

Jimin doesn't like that.

"So what's the plan then? Gavin walks in and we just hold him back while you take the phone and find the picture?" Cassandra steps toward the carts and examines the space between them. "Because that sounds easy enough but it's not foolproof."

"It's pitch black in here without a light, so Gavin usually has his phone light on. He sets it down on that box so he can see me. If you're looking to be sneaky, just turn on one of your phone lights and switch it out."

Jimin frowns. "If we're looking to be sneaky," he says. "That means you're providing a distraction."

"Yeah."

"Meaning Gavin will be kissing you."

Y/n inhales, pursing her lips. "I don't know any easier way to get his phone from him."
