These scars that locked me away
The ones that tormented me every day
Why is it so hard to try to love again?
Are you the one that will make them disappear?
Constantly being afraid of starting over
Always scared to find a lover
I didn't want to make a mistake again
Because my heart can't take much more pain
Trying to love again
Is a never-ending chain
A forever with you is all I pleaded
You are the only one I needed
Not a single day has passed by without you in my mind
Why can't I just leave you behind?
What would you say if I told you I loved you?
Would you say "I love you too"?
Or just laugh as others do
Why can't I just stop trying to love again?
Because in the end, I'll end up in the rain
With all my hope crushed
And all my thoughts flushed
Trying to love again
Is a never-ending pain
Yet, I'll take the risk with you
Will you be there too?
Will you help me to love again?
Or just make it rain
