Dear father,
I know we might not get along
And have many different opinions
But I always know you'll be by my side
Even if you don't support my beliefs
Nor my educational path
I know you'll be with me
All the way to the end
Working from 5am-10pm all day
Without a break
It's hard isn't it?
Trying to give us a better life
Is all you ever wanted
Thank you for that
I may not see you most of the time
But the days we can
I am thankful to them
And I know you wish for the days
For us to be together most of the time

This is my story of being from an immigrant family. I barely see my dad. He's always working trying to give us a better life. My mom also tries her best, trying to help my younger brother with autism. With the job I have, I help my parents with some bills.
Now my people are getting gassed in the ICE detention centers. What has this country come to?
This is only a small story of this inhumane country. What's your story? Speak up and let your voice heard.
And keep bringing awareness to #blacklivesmatter !
