Serenity had never felt so close before.

Like this, sitting beside Jimin on a beach, the waves of the sea kissed her toes and went back again and again. The soft noise of it numbing her senses like a whoosh of magic. It was evening now, the sky a blend of pink and orange. The sun almost settled. It was all the more drawing her towards this calming bliss because Jimin was sitting beside her, and that itself made all the things so much different. She felt oddly connected to him, and she tried to pin point an explanation for it but she didn't get any.

Maybe they'd just come a long way.

The rest of her friends were either inside the villa or playing volleyball a little away from where the both of them were sitting. She had many reasons to be happy today, the fans were supporting them, Ivey was pregnant, Jimin was beside her.

She smiled to herself, leaning a little towards Jimin, their shoulders grazing. She took out a cigar from her pocket, holding it between her lips before lighting it with a lighter. She inhaled a drag, letting the burn settle in her lungs before puffing the smoke out.

She looked up at Jimin, offering the cigarette. He nodded silently but she didn't give it to him, instead she took another drag of it and leaned towards his face. Instinctively, he opened his mouth as soon as she connected their lips together, the smoke invading his cravice.

Jimin didn't let go of her, though, instead moved his lips into an urgent, fleshy kiss. A surge of heat flooded in her stomach, couldn't help but just give in to the indulging kiss. When they separated, Jimin kept her face close to her by the grip of his hand behind her neck.

"You're going a little wild with your fantasies, Lorraine Acker."

A breathy chuckle left her lips as she drew back from him. She gave him the cigar this time, he took it from her with a smirk, placing it between his plump lips and inhaling, puffs of interesting smoke patterns leaving his mouth.

He looked a little deep in thoughts, so she asked, "are you alright? Are you coping well?"

Jimin hummed in response, looking ahead of him. "I know you dont like it when I say this, but I really am tired of this industry, even if I chose it upon myself..."

Her lips parted but she didn't say anything, letting him continue.

"Trust me, I love the fame, and I'm truly grateful for where I am today because... most people don't get to. I wish..." He trailed out, inhaling sharply. Lorraine knew something had been bothering him from the start. "I wish I could've saved some people from coming to this industry."

"What do you mean?" She asked softly, inching a little closer to him. She gasped lightly when his eyes suddenly glistened with a glassy layer of tears.

"I..." His expressions looked troubled now, as if he was physically aching to think whatever he was thinking. "I had a younger brother. He was...he looked up to me a lot. Said he'd follow my footsteps of being a singer. I loved him so much...I just wanted the best for him, I swear..."

Lorraine could see he wanted to tell the whole story, she could see it in his eyes that he was reminiscing from memory to memory, trying to cut it down for her. It was clear that he hadn't told this to anyone before. Somewhere between him remembering everything he had been through, he broke down. A tear sliding down his eye.

"On his first music video," Jimin sobbed, wiping his nose and looking down. Lorraine's hand reached out to wipe the tear off his cheek, just like she had done when he had cried the last time. "God, he was so happy. So, so happy. The music video had some special effects. He refused to use the green screen because I don't. There was a setup of cars...they were going to blast behind him while he danced in the front."
