If ever Lorraine wanted to wake up and see someone's face the first thing in the morning, it'll be his. Jimin was the most endearing and selfless person she had ever met. A sweetness that was too much for his own good.

Right now cladded into the thick blanket, veiled by a deep slumber, torn away from the real world. All Lorraine could think while looking at him was that he needed rest, he needed a break from all this. He had done nothing to have been attacked the way they were last night.

Even while asleep, Jimin's hand was wrapped tight around her form, like he needed to feel she was beside him to calm his rushing mind and be asleep. It made her chest clench achingly.

Her hand reached out to trace a finger down the bridge of his nose, brushing back the hair that fell onto his forehead. She gulped for one reason or the other.

Not wanting to wake him up and make him face the harsh reality that was happening around him, she subtly lifted his arm off her and scurried from the bed, heading towards the bathroom.

About fifteen minutes later, when she was taking a shower, the door of the bathroom opened, revealing the one she had expected.

Jimin and Lorraine's eyes met through the glass of the stall, the steam almost blocking the view. A thick silence fogged up the atmosphere between them, Lorraine gulped down her throat.

"Can I join?"

Jimin cut the silence, making Lorraine blink.

"Sure," she allowed, watching as Jimin stripped off from his clothes one by one, he looked like someone had sucked his soul out of him. Glum and sad. He stepped into the shower stall, getting under the raining, hot water. Droplets slowly making their way down his hair and skin.

They stayed like that for a while, looking in each other's eyes, not knowing how to communicate after last night. How were they supposed to comfort each other?

Inhaling sharply, Lorraine decided to break the silence.

"How do you feel?"

Jimin looked down, she could see the droplets of water resting on his eyelashes this way. A sad smile curled up his lips, scoffing softly.

"Helpless..." He answered.

A knot formed in Lorraine's throat. She understood why he was feeling this way. His fans meant the world to him, he was devoted and dedicated to them. They were truly the owner of his heart. But now they weren't supporting him, hell they were attacking him. They weren't willing to understand that he could have something intimate with someone too.

But right now it didn't matter, because Lorraine was alright and she wasn't hurt much except for the cut on her cheek. Her being fine was all that mattered right now.

"Come here," he whispered, pulling her against his chest into a bone-crushing hug. It felt weird for Lorraine to be so emotionally attached to someone because she was used to being self-centred and okay with the fact that she was the only one who cared for herself. Then Jimin did things like...these and made her heart explode with warmth.

Nonetheless, it made her smile. When they finally drew apart after a while, Lorraine spoke.

"I saw the way you panicked last night...for me?"

"You have no idea." He huffed, breathless because of the shower. She smiled softly.

About half an hour later, they stepped out of the shower. Jimin helped her dress her cheek wound once again before lending her his sweats and a t-shirt to wear. They got out of the room about ten minutes later after one of the members knocked on the door to inform them that the breakfast was ready.
