Chapter 9

Y/n pov:
Mattia had pushed me to the floor causing me to break the butterfly he gave me. I looked at the shattered pieces and I look up at him. I looked at him with hurt in my eyes. I was so stupid to think that I could change a monster like him. He left maximo on the floor and rushed to me.
"Y/n im so sorry" he said outing a hand to my cheek
"Just take me home" I say pushing his hand away
"Ok" he says
We get to the car and the ride home was silent. Until mattia broke that silence.
"Y/n i really am sorry" he said
"I just wanted a nice day for once" I say with a tear rolling down my cheek
"I know it's just that I.." he starts
"No mattia i DONT want your excuses" I said
"Y/n im sorry it's just I got mad that he kissed you" he said
"Mattia I understand but why does it affect you so much?" I ask
"Cause I.. I" he stuttered stood quiet
I stayed quiet. He never responded I knew it. I was just business to him. The rest of the ride home was quiet. We arrived I went up to my room and started to get ready for the ball later.

*at the ball*
I walked into a big room that was decorated beautifully. I was holding mattia's arm. It was a bit awkward. He greeted a few people. I went to go get a drink and I hear a familiar voice
"Hello y/n" I turn around and I notice mr. Polibio
"Hello mr. polibio" i say shaking his hand
"Please call me Antonio" he says
"Hello Antonio" I say smiling
"How's mattia treating you" he asks
"Very well thank you" I say
"I'm pleased to hear" he says
"Hi papa" I hear mattia behind me
"Hello mattia" he starts
"Well I'll leave you two I have to go greet people" Antonio says
I nod and he leaves. I look up at mattia. He was already looking at me.
"What do I have something in my face?" I ask
"No, you just look beautiful" he says
"Thank you" i say
A girl walks up to us.
"Mattia polibio it's always a pleasure" she says greeting him
"Hello cynthia" he says and greets her back
"Who's this" she asks looking at me
"I'm y/n" I say smiling
"Hmm anyway mattia do you wanna get out of here?" He says seductively
"Actually we were just leaving" he says grabbing me
"It was a pleasure cynthia" I say smiling
She gave me a dirty look.
"I'm sorry about her" he says as we walk away 
"Don't be I don't care" I say coldly

Later that night. I was alone most of the time, Mattia was with his boys and some people.
"Y/n?" I hear as i turn around"
"Omg Kevin?" I say hugging him
"Kevin salazar it's so good to see you" I say
"Good to see you, how have you been?" He asks
"Good good." I say
"I heard you got married" he says
"Only for business" I say smiling
It's been a long time that I'd seen Kevin. I met him at a meeting he had with his father and mine a few years ago. He was the closest thing I had to a friend. He was always so nice to me. I felt deep down I could trust him.
"Your secret is safe with me" he says smiling
"Wanna go outside to get some air?" He asks I nod and we walk outside
"So how have you been kevin" I ask him
"Good, I actually just became the leader of the salvadorian division" he says
"Congrats" I say
"Thank you" he replies
We talked for a few minutes until we were interrupted.
"Y/n you ready to go?" I hear mattia ask
"Yea." I say
"Well Kevin it was a pleasure, here is my number call me if you are ever free" I say

Mattia pov:
As y/n gives him a piece of paper I can't help but get jealous. She walks to me and we walk to the car.
"So Kevin salazar" i say
"What about him?" She asks
"You know him?" I say
"Yea his father used to go business with my dad" she says
"Oh isn't be the. Ew leader of the salvadorian division?" I ask
"Yep" she say
The rest of the ride home was quiet as usual. We arrive and she goes straight to her room.
