"The Luna brothers don't exist anymore. Right now Sandra is the only one in real danger. She's the only one they can find." It took me a while to process what Eddy was saying, sure I knew her brothers were going under witness protection, but the severity of the situation didn't weigh on me.
Sandra was the only one they could find?
At this point, any other concern was out of my mind and all I could worry about was the danger she was putting herself in.
"I should've told you, Joven." There he goes again, pissing me off with that damn honorific.
"Fuck, Eddy, drop the formality, you know it pisses me off." I rubbed my face out of frustration to which he sighed. Thankfully I wasn't the one driving, because, in this state, I'd get us killed.
Shit can never go right lately.
"You have to talk to her, her brothers are saying she doesn't want to go under witness protection. Changing her name will make things easier for her, you have to convince her." Shit, how could I? She had just told me the significance of her name and they wanted me to convince her to change it, especially not when her birthday is in a few hours.
"Your father didn't want me to tell you this, but we had a trespasser on the property last night. They were looking for the Luna family. Thankfully I was armed, if that weren't the case someone could have gotten hurt. Your dad is really freaked out, he wants to sell the ranch and move to another state." Eddy really didn't hold anything back. With all this new information I couldn't help but lean against my seat.
"How the hell did they find us?" I was scarily calm. They say it's better to think with a calm mind, or else you make things messier.
"Leo filled me in on the story. Looks like they had her followed since she flew in and out of the state they used their connections to get a location they did all that with her name, social security, and date of birth. The good thing is the bastard didn't get to send any info back, we caught him before he was able to say that he found her." Looks like those good for nothings are actually good at something, stalking.
