I wasn't jealous of Sandra's new buddy. I was happy she had someone else to bug other than me. I was eager to go to the gym and not have to wait for her to get off work. I was ecstatic to spend my car rides alone without having to talk to her. I was finally free from her. Maybe the stupid beefy idiot would keep her forever and I would never see her again.

"Hey, dude you're gonna break the handles if you keep doing that." I turned to look at my hold on the handles of the elliptical and sure enough, my knuckles were white the handles were screeching. I wasn't hulk so I knew the cause of the screech was probably rust. It had nothing to do with my current emotions. Not that there were any emotions I felt.

I was happy for Sandra and for myself. She had the stupid beefy idiot, while I had Selena. I was very clear on labels with Selena, she knew we were together but not a couple. Since the kiss, she's been texting constantly to check up on me. She even went as far as to ask for my address to visit me.

She ended up going to the apartment on Sunday and playing nurse. Benny thought I was into it and for a moment I thought of giving it a shot. That was until I pictured a thicker body and plain brown eyes and hair. I convinced myself to give it time, today was Wednesday and I was purposely avoiding Sandra.

I just couldn't bear it anymore. As I get off the elliptical I decided to face her again.

"Are you into Sandra or something?" The stupid beefy idiot questioned while I waited for her to get her things. Even though I hadn't given her a ride in a while I decided to offer today.

"She's a friend." My arms crossed over my chest and I stood up straighter. I was much taller than the idiot so I looked down at him. For once it felt good to be taller than someone.

"Doesn't look like it. You come and pick her up like she's your girl," he accuses narrowing his eyes. I wanted to tell him to mind his own damn business, but I also wanted to deny his statement.

"I finish my workout when she's off, I'm doing her a favor." I tried to keep myself from spitting out my words. He couldn't know he was pissing me off.

"Cut the crap. I saw you finish a while ago. You're using it as an excuse to wait for her." I remained unbothered as he spoke. It bothered me that he kept tabs. It bothered me even more that he was going through the trouble for Sandra.
