The Drama Club - A Oneus Fanfiction

Act 5

It was recess time. Like most of the time, Eri sat with Keonhee and Jun but with an addition Hwanwoong. Eri just poked her french fries and stared at it absent mindlessly.

Jun was about to take one of Eri's fries but Keonhee swatted her hand. "Rude" both of them said in unison and laughed. Meanwhile, Hwanwoong looked at Eri and asked "You okay? Fries no good?".

Eri snapped back into reality "W-what.. Oh.. No.. Wait, they are good".

"So, have you thought about how you're going to apologise to him" Jun nudged her.

"Apologise to who?" Keonhee asked innocently. Eri pointed at someone across the cafeteria with her potato stick.

The trio carefully traced where the potato was pointing.. On Xion. He was talking with his twin brother and some of the members from the music club.

"Why Xion? Did something happened?" Hwanwoong's eyes went wide with curiosity and took a sip from his juice, Eri chuckled.

One thing Eri really like talking with Hwanwoong is due to his facial expression, it's pretty amusing seeing him conveys his emotions. His expression when dancing? That's a whole new level, the top reason why he's one of the best dancer in school.

Jun then explained the whole thing. "I'm thinking after the club meeting today" Eri added.

"Ah, I'm sure he will forgive you. He may looks cold but he's very nice.. Just don't get on his bad side, speaking from experience" Hwanwoong remembered getting slapped at the back by Xion for teasing him about last year's senior, Kim Geonhak.

"uh.." Eri gloomed.

"Don't worry, he will forgive you.. Trust me" Keonhee reassured her with a sweet smile.

"Plus! This a nice step to gain confidence" Jun perked up.

"I guess you're right, thanks guys" Eri smiled, getting a bit pumped up.

Eri and Renjun dashed down the empty corridor, they were late for the club meeting. They were so busy helping with the teacher from their last period and some teachers that came across them.

They reached infront of the school hall and peeked through one of the windows. "God, they already started it.. It's going to be embarrassing" Eri face-palmed.

"I knew we shouldn't have helped the teachers" Renjun mumbled.

"now, that's not nice" Eri lightly slapped him at the shoulder. "Well, atleast we have a decent reason to be late.. Right?"

"I guess" Renjun sent a nervous smile.

Eri slowly reached the doorknob, "oh lord, stop making it suspense!" Renjun quickly turn the doorknob.

The door opened and everybody turned their heads toward the two figures standing at the main entrance.

Eri and Renjun walked in with their eyes avoifing the stares. "Well, look who it is.. Eri and Renjun" Bae Yoora said mockingly.

"I hope you both have a good excuse for the really late appearance" the teacher crossed her arms with her foot tapping impatiently.

"W-well you see-" Eri started, her anxiousness was acting up.

"Miss, We're sorry for being late. Its because we were helping alot of teachers on our way here" Renjun cut her off, he wasn't in the mood for this especially with Yoora.

The teacher was a little offended with the way Renjun speaked. That's just how his tone works but to new people, it can came off as rude.

"I guess, that is excusable" Mrs. Rin nodded, eyes still fixed on Renjun "You two may sit down, make sure don't be late again".

"Yes, miss" Eri and Renjun said it synchronised, they rushed on top of the stage and sat outside the circle because there were no spaces for the both of them.

"I'm going to let Xion do the summary of today's meeting" The teacher cleared her throat.

Eri and Renjun looked at each other with shock. They were that late to the meeting? But Renjun easily shrugged it of because he just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Xion stood up "The club will hold a field trip to the theatres this Friday. The main objective is that we could learn thoroughly about the backstage and how they prepared for the shows" He walked towards Eri and Renjun and hands them some papers.

It was about the trip and the fees on the first page, then a form they need to sign and getting their parents signature on the next page.

"You can start paying the fees to any of the committee members tomorrow" Xion added.

After a few more information about the trip, the club meeting has come to an end. Renjun sighed in relief while Eri giggled beside him.

"Renjunnie!" Jaemin tackled him from behind, Chenle just followed them and they walked out of the hall.

Keonhee poked Eri's cheek. "Yah!" Eri startled.

"Im about to punch Yoora when she mocked you two" Keonhee smiled menacingly while showing his fist.

"Calm down.." She laughed while patting his fist. Sudden realisation came to her, she haven't apologise to Xion yet.

"Keonhee, Where's Xion?!" Eri panicked and looked around for Xion. Keonhee pointed at Xion, he was already outside.

"Shoot! You can go home first, wish me luck.. Bye!" Eri quickly said and waved goodbye to Keonhee.

"Aish, that girl" Keonhee sighed. He then exited the school hall and went back home.

...

"Xion!" He heard somebody called him from behind and turned his head, it was Eri running towards him.

"Yes?" He stopped in his track.

Eri abruptly put a stop to her running but she lost balance and tripped. Here, she thought things couldn't get any worse.. Falling infront of Xion, embarrassing. She was brace for impact that is until, she felt a pair of arms around her.

She looked up and saw Xion really close to her face. It felt like time has frozen. She felt blood rushing to her cheeks and her heart beating really fast.

Xion saw her reaction and immediately let her go, thinking she was uncomfortable. "I- I'm so sorry".

Meanwhile, Eri panicked "N-no, it was my fault.. I should apologise to you especially about last time and came to the club late and almost crashed into you and oh wow, you're very handsome" She blurted out.

Since she spoke too fast, it was difficult for Xion to catch up.

Realising what she said, she groaned. "what I wanted to say, I never intended this to happen and sorry for how I treated you last time" She covered her face with the palm of her hands. Her face was still red and her heart hasn't calmed down yet.

"Did he hear when I said he was handsome" Eri thought, praying he didn't hear it. She felt somebody took her hands off her face and it was Xion smiling at her.

"It's okay, I'm the one who should be sorry for suddenly popping out of nowhere then walked with you and Keonhee" He said, softly.

Eri swore her heart was about to explode "No, you shouldn't be. I- umm.. It's kinda nice to walk with someone new" She laughed nervously, Xion could only smile back. It was an awkward silence between them.

Then, Eri saw Jun at the corner of her eyes "there's my friend, I need to go now.. Bye and thank you, Xion" she bowed a bit and walked up to Jun.

"Hey, how was it?" Jun lifted one of her eyebrows. She only saw Eri and Xion together for a few seconds before Eri came up to her.

"Tonight. Video chat with Keonhee too" Eri stated and looked back to see Xion talking with Dongmyeong, she smiled.
