~kody's POV~
"i...have to tell you something," lumine said. i looked at him, concerned. "you know you can tell me anything, right?" lumine sighed sadly. "i have trust issues," he mumbled. "that's why i don't tell people my feelings...and stuff" he trailed off and looked away. we were walking on the sideway, nearby a coffee shop. "you can trust me, lumine," i said. i looked into his tired, injured face with scars and bruises. it looked exhausted like the pain wouldn't leave. "but...it's not that easy! you wouldn't understand!" lumine said harshly. he turned his back and started running. "lumine!" i started chasing after him.
~1 hr later~
"lumine?" i called. i had no idea where i was. it was dark and cold. i pulled my phone out and called dad.
aiden: kody? what's wrong?
kody: lumine ran away!
aiden: where are you?"
kody: i don't know...in the woods?
aiden: get out of there!
kody: huh?
aiden: *sigh* i'm on my way. don't move!
he hung up. i jumped, hearing a loud scream. it sounded like...lumine. "lumine?" i started running. the scream grew louder. "i'm coming!"
