Gale's POV

"Are you.. Are you... Coming to the tree..."

I turned on the grinder and cut her arms. Blood drips down to the floor.

"They strung up a man, they say who murdered three."

I picked up the saw and cut her legs.

"Strange things did happen here no stranger would it be."

I throw the legs in a box. It contains pieces of her body parts.

"If we met, at midnight in the hanging three."

I wiped my sweat out of my face.

The smell of blood lingers through the room.

"Smell of victory." I smiled and walked towards the sink and washed my hands.

I walked up the stairs and looked for Venedict.

"Venedict!"

I searched every room as well as outside.

He wasn't around.

I wonder where is that man.

I sighed and sit by the table.

The phone rang, I stood up and answered the call.

"Gale."

I smiled when I heard her voice.

"Scar! Hey. What's up?"

"Just checking. I haven't been around lately. Tom told me that you killed an officer."

I bit my lip.

"Y-yeah.. He's pestering me. I have to do something too you know?"

"You know that's risky, right?"

I sighed.

"I don't want to see him again. We dumped his body anyway. No evidence, nothing."

"It will blow up in your face if anything bad happens."

"I'll take the charge."

"Alright. Becareful okay?"

"I will. When am I gonna see you again?"

"Soon. Anyway. Knight Empire needs you. They caught a mole. I'm sending it to your mansion."

"Are they okay?"

"They are. Visit them often please. They need you as well. I can't do this on my own."

"But I don't want to. I'm not dad. I can't do it. I can't lead them."

"You can if you try. We met when you were 18. You killed numerous people. You're actually better than me. I don't understand why you don't want to do it."

"I'm afraid. I might fail."

I frowned.

"I will guide you."

"I'll think about it. How's the Serpents?"

"They're good. Great actually. All of the transactions are delivered on time."

"Great. That's great."

I don't know why, but I suddenly felt this sadness embraces me.

"I'll hang up. I have business to do."

"Did he know?"

"What?"
