August

"Baby, you like this color?" Lola asked, picking out a dress for my album release party.

"Yeah, it's cool," I shrugged, turning back to the tv. I hadn't told her that I was back with Kay and that I wanted her out quite yet because I ain't have a clue how to. I mean I'm a real nigga but I still got a lil heart.

"Oh my god, I'm so proud of you, babe!" She squealed running toward me like she won the lottery. "Your album's out, you about to go on tour and money is just flowing now."

"Money, huh?" I scoffed, flipping through the channels.

"Yeah...I mean before it was okay but now you gonna be making the big dollars," She grinned.

"Hmph," Was I responded as her gold digging ass. Kalissa was right about Lola. Every since she moved in, my money was going down the drain on her nails, her hair, shoes, and clothes.

Not to mention all the jewelry she wanted me to buy and all her spa dates. I wonder if I wasn't as big as I am if she would still rock with me.

Kalissa was always by my side from the jump before the fame and the money. Thats how I knew she was the realest out all these hoes. Thats why I'm hype as hell she gonna be the mother of my child too.

"August!"

"What?" I asked, snapping back to reality.

"Can I get $300?" Lola asked, giving me her puppy face.

"Mane, Lola, I just gave you $500 yesterday. What you need now?"

"New shoes to go with my dress and maybe a new clutch too."

"Hell naw," I said, dismissing her.

"August, come on, you really gonna make me go in your party with my shoes, dress and purse not matching?" She asked as if it was the most serious shit in the world.

"You'll be iight," I said simply, reaching for my phone to text Kalissa.

Me: You still coming to the party, babe?

"Oh my god, I can't believe you're acting like such an asshole," She said catching her attitude. "It's just $300. Even a broke nigga could give me that."

"Well go look for that broke nigga because I'm not giving you shit else," I replied, not giving a fuck.

She groaned slamming her dress on the bed and storming off. J just shook my head, laughing.

Wifey 💍: I can't August. My feet hurts.

Me: Then I'll come pick you up. Please?

Wifey 💍: Wat about ur wifey?

Me: I already told u that u my wifey. ion give two fucks about Lola or if she finds out about us being back together. I just want u to b here fa me.

Wifey 💍: Alright then bae. I'll b there

Me: Love you 😘

Wifey 💍: I love you too daddy 😛😘

I laughed a little, putting my phone back down and laying back. Thats when Lola walked back in with a bag.

"Where you going?" I asked, looking her slip in her sunglasses.

"Is that really any of your business?" She snapped.

I raised my hands up in surrender. "Fine, do you. I ain't even trippin about it."

She stormed back out the room and I heard the front door close a few second later. I shrugged and texted Kalissa to come over.
