Talia's POV
You know, I've been thinking of something. Dad, Uncle Yoongi, Aunt Nari and Uncle Namjoon can all turn into them wolves. So...does that mean I can do that too?
I've been thinking about it for a while now, but I dont know if I should ask or not. They may think I'm too young to learn how, but I'm not that young! I'm halfway to being 10 years old, I think that's enough.
Whilst fiddling with my hands, I creep over to Uncle Yoongi sitting on the sofa. "Uncle Yoongi?"
From the sound of his voice, he turns his head to me. Smiling softly, he answers. "Yes Talia?"
I sigh, jumping up onto the sofa next to him. "I was wondering, how do you turn into a wolf?"
Taking a sharp intake of air, he tilts his head whilst thinking of my question. "It takes a lot of practice and strength to turn into our wolves. But over time, it gets easier to do so."
I nod. "Can you teach me?"
Uncle Yoongi's eyebrows furrow. "You want to learn how to turn into a wolf? Talia, you're 5 years old."
"I know I know, but I personally think I'm old enough to learn!" I say, defending myself.
Uncle Yoongi in response laughs at my enthusiasm, probably surprised a 5 year old like myself could have so much eagerness to learn how to turn into a wolf.
"Old enough to learn what?" Uncle Namjoon intrigued voice sits down next to us too, interested in our conversation.
I turn to him. "To turn into a wolf! Can you teach me, please?"
Uncle Namjoon gasps and covers his mouth with his hands. "I've waited for this moment for so long. Her first wolf experience! I'm so proud."
I then think of something else I want to know about. "I was also wondering...how do you turn from yourselves to a wolf and then back to yourselves again without ripping your clothes?"
"Honestly, I've been wondering the same thing." Uncle Jimin sits on the sofa opposite us, agreeing with my point made. "Your clothes don't rip when you turn, and then when you turn back you're still wearing them! How does that even work?"
Uncle Namjoon sighs. "Like Yoongi said, it takes alot of practice to master this ability. Our clothes used to rip all the time when we were younger. And it was a pain in the ass." He huffs, scowling whilst just thinking about it.
"I bet I can do it without my clothes ripping!" I jump up and stand in between the two sofas.
Uncle Yoongi raises his eyebrow. "Are you sure kiddo?"
I nod. "I think so."
"Ah, there's that confidence us angels have!" Uncle Hoseok cheers me on, whilst standing to the side with his arms folded. "Speaking of angels, have you tried using your wings yet?"
Furrowing my little eyebrows, I stare at Uncle Hoseok in confusion. I have wings too? Oh yeah, that's right! Mother was an angel, meaning I have wings too.
"Woah, I have wings and a wolf!" I gasp.
Uncle Jimin chuckles lightly and nods. "Training your wings also takes a lot of practice. For example, when I was 8 and trying to use mine for the first time, for like a whole 2 months only one of the wings was opening! God knows why the other wing decided not to open and embarrass me infront of everyone." He mutters.
"I think I remember that." Uncle Hosoek recalls. "Hana and I were trying to pull the other one out, but for some reason that other wing just did not budge." He sniggers whilst thinking about it.
There's a couple seconds of silence before Uncle Namjoon and Uncle Yoongi errupt into laughter behind me. I giggle a little, thinking of an 8 year old Uncle Jimin with only one wing.
In response, Uncle Jimin pouts and fold his arms. "Stop laughing, it wasn't funny!"
"I'm sorry, so you were walking around with only one wing?" Uncle Namjoon says in between laughs.
Uncle Jimin painfully sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Please don't remind me hyung."
"You're the one who brought it up Jimin, not him." Uncle Yoongi shakes his head in disappointment, whilst staring at Uncle Jimin in amusement. He then looks back at me. "Anyway, I think you should probably try turning into your wolf when you're with your Dad, not us."
"Why?" I ask.
"Because your clothes are most likely going to rip as it's your first time trying and...yeah." He trails off.
"No Uncle Yoongi, I can do it without my clothes ripping! Just watch me." Squeezing my eyes shut, I clench my fists together and try concentrating in unleashing my wolf.
"Talia, what are you doing?" Uncle Yoongi says with an amused and yet slightly concerned tone of voice.
Come on wolf, come on wolf! Please! Dont embarrass me infront of my Uncles and Aunties! Just come out!
As I still feel nothing happening, I sigh in defeat and give up, reopening my eyes and un-clenching my fists. "It didn't work." I pout, looking at their faces.
However when I look at them, they all look extremely shocked and astonished. Faintly, they gasp under their breaths.
Uncle Hoseok begins to laugh in shock, pointing at me. "Look at how cute and small they are!"
Becoming even more confused, I turn my head to see what they're so excited about. And then I see them.
My wings.
Two pairs of wings have magically appeared on my back. Like Uncle Hoseok said, they're small because...well, I'm small.
"Woah, my wings!" I jump on the spot in excitement whilst staring at the wings now on my back.
"Wait...look." Uncle Yoongi looks closer at my wings. When he does, he begins to chuckle. "Yep, she's definitely Jungkook's daughter."
"I've never seen black feathers before." Uncle Namjoon tilts his head and looks closer at the wings too.
"Black feathers?" I say confused.
Uncle Yoongi nods. "You're half an angel and dark angel, so you have both white and black feathers. But mostly white ones."
I feel Uncle Jimin's hands delicately stroking the feathers. "You're the first angel ever to have black and white feathered wings."
Whilst trying to move them, I find myself in a bit of a situation when they don't move. I try to flap them, but it's quite hard for them to even twitch.
"Why won't they move?" I say out of frustration.
Auntie Jiwoo smiles warmly. "That also takes a lot of practice. You'll get the hang of it one day, don't worry. We'll teach you."
"Thank you." I mumble, and they laugh whilst watching me stand in the middle of the room smiling shyly. "I can't wait to show Dad!"
"Yeah, about that..." Uncle Jimin trails off and points to my wings.
I turn my head and gasp sadly. "Where'd they go?"
He chuckles. "They close up and go back into your back after a while, when you're not using them. Which again, you'll get the hang of. Don't worry about it."
"We all started once where you are, Talia. A group of 5 year olds discovering our wings and wolves." Auntie Irene says.
"I was 7 years old actually, if we're being precise." Uncle Yoongi corrects her.
I scramble to stand in front of Uncle Yoongi, pressing my hands onto his knees. "I'll beat your score and discover my wolf at just 5 years old!"
Uncle Yoongi chuckles at my sudden outburst, holding my hands in his bigger ones and warmly smiling. "And I'm sure you will."
