Author's POV
Hoseok stops breathing when he sees her face. The colour drains from his own, and he can't find the voice to say anything. He feels like his world has just come crashing down even more without any warning.
His best friend, who was supposed to be dead, is alive.
Alive.
And she killed his other best friend, who was her own brother.
The angels especially are left speechless. None of them have seen her since the day she was buried.
They never thought they would see her again, but here they are. The thought of her somehow coming back from the dead makes their minds spin.
Jiwoo grasps at her hair, breathing heavily. "That can't be who I thought it was." She shakes her head in denial. "It can't be!"
Taehyung hands Hoseok the necklace. "We found it outside, below Jin's bedroom window. This is what the widow threw from Jungkook's flashback 2 months ago. And when Hana died, it was buried with her. It all makes sense."
Hoseok stares at the necklace, flooding his mind of memories of her he thought he had forgotten by now.
"Makes sense? How can you say this makes sense Taehyung?" Jiwoo sniffles and stares at him in bewilderment.
"You mean to tell me that my dead best friend is alive. Alive? After being killed and buried for 5 years, how the hell is she alive?"
"And how is she a black widow? She's isn't even meant to be here; she's supposed to be dead." Namjoon questions, placing both hands on his hips and staring at Taehyung in confusion.
Taehyung helplessly shrugs, as he too has no clue how this could be possible. "Who knows how long she's been alive for...a month, a year?"
"Jungkook said his flashback of Heaven was from 4 years ago, meaning she's been alive since then. A year after she died." Nari suggests.
If Hana's been a widow for 4 years, how have none of them ever seen her walking around? She must've hid really well, as widows do.
Jimin groans, rubbing his face with his hands. "This just got a whole lot more complicated." He then tilts his head in curiosity. "Wait. Follow me."
Without another word he dashes off, running out of the Palace and disappearing outside. The rest of them exchange confused looks with eachother.
Namjoon shrugs. "Guess we're following him."
The remaining 6 run after and follow Jimin to wherever he wants to lead them. After catching up to him, they now notice where he's led them.
Yoongi stops, raising an eyebrow. "Why would you bring us to the graveya...oh." He then clocks on and catches up to the others.
Now standing infront of a particular coffin, they stare emotionlessly at it.
A few moments ago they were stood here before, reminiscing over old times shared with the Princess of Heaven. Thinking about wherever she is and that she'd be watching them with a proud heart.
But now, completely different thoughts run through their heads and they dismiss the old ones without hesitation, as they've now proven to have been false.
"Open it."
Hoseok shoots his head up and turns to Jimin in alarm. "What?"
Jimin slowly looks Hoseok dead in the eye, and repeats his words. "Open it."
Whilst warily tilting his head, Taehyung sighs and steps forwards. He crouched down and grabs hold of one side of the coffin lid. Nari walks over to the other side and holds the other side. Together they move the heavy stone off of the coffin, carefully revealing what's inside.
The rest of them wait in anticipation and silence, urgently wanting to see the coffin's contents. If what they're thinking is in there is true.
When the lid finally comes off, Jiwoo's heart drops and she covers her mouth with her hands.
Hoseok drops his knees harshly to the floor, tears filling his eyes as he stares inside the coffin.
It's empty.
"It really is her." Hoseok chokes out, darting his eyes to the ground.
Jimin bites the inside of his mouth down hard. He doesn't know why he's so annoyed that it's empty.
Maybe the fact that his once best friend is alive; has been alive for 4 years and not once did she ever come to them.
Not as a widow, but as herself. Because he knows she hasn't just been a widow all this time.
Occasionally she would've turned back into herself, before something would trigger her anger and the widow would come back out.
Hana was Jimin's best friend. They had been through so much together and he loved her like his little sister. He wouldn't dare let her be upset or hurt.
The same applies with Jin, Hoseok and Jiwoo. He always did his best for them to have a smile on their faces.
"We need to find her." Jimin turns away and looks around at their surroundings, narrowing his eyes towards the distance.
Irene then slowly walks towards them, mouth open in shock as she must have seen the empty coffin from the cloud haven. She has the rucksack with the weapon slung on her back.
And clasping onto her hand is Talia, looking very confused.
"Why is it empty?" Irene says quietly, trying to control her heavy breathing as she continues to stare into the coffin.
Hoseok stands up and walks towards her, letting his head hang low and he places his hand on her shoulder.
"Because she's the black widow."
Irene's eyebrows jolt upwards in surprise. She blinks and looks towards the others. Judging by their saddened and occasional annoyed faces, she realises that it's true.
"How the hell is it Hana?" She faintly whispers.
"We're still trying to figure that out." Yoongi sighs and rubs the back of his neck.
"Who's Hana?" Talia's curious little voice speaks up, looking at the adults surrounding her.
With them words they all exchange looks with one another. They haven't told her her mother's name, because it was too hard too.
The only time they ever spoke about Hana was when Talia would bring up her mother; when she became curious about what she was like or what she looked like.
Taehyung musters up the courage to walk forwards, crouching down in front of Talia.
They know deep down that Talia needs to know the truth about everything. How her mother really died.
And one day, they will. But for now, they need to take things slow. She's still a 5 year old kid: they can't bombard her with many shocking facts all at once.
Taehyung takes in a breath. Glancing up at the angels and dark angels surrounding him, he sighs and focuses his eyes back onto Talia.
"She's your mother."
