#17 - The flashback

Jungkook's POV

What I was picturing in my head of what would happen was something along the lines of the two of them killing eachother arguing and yelling like they did 5 years ago.

As I'm waiting for the bitter sweet sound of hell to break lose between them, I don't.

Why doesn't it?

I become surprised from what happens instead. Because instead of the dangeless throwing her hands on his neck and strangling the life out of him, shes thrown her hands around neck.

Clinging onto Taehyung, Nari breathes out a sigh that sounds like shes been holding in for a long time, ever since he left in the first place.

Taehyung freezes, not knowing what to do. But then his expression finally gives in and embraces her too, knowing deep down that all the hatred he had for her is slowly beginning to fade, if it didn't fade before.

Letting go of him, she violently then pushes him backwards, making his back slam into the wall. Taehyung is left wide-eyed and confused, whilst watching her in front of him.

"Are you being serious? Kim Taehyung what the hell is wrong with you?! You never came back for 5 years! You've been alive this whole fucking time and not once did you come back!" Nari yells, getting more furious and upset by the second.

Taehyung becomes even more speechless, and doesn't know what to do. All he can do is just watch and listen to her painfully.

"Do you know how many nights I spent wide awake and regretting everything I did and said to you? How many nights I had to cry myself to sleep knowing that you wouldn't be there when I woke up?"

That I didn't know. I never knew she cried herself to sleep. Whenever I walked past her room it was silent, so I assumed she was sleeping. She kept all of this a secret from us, every day and every night?

Trying to get Nari to stop, Taehyung leans forwards from the wall and tries to grab her hands so she'll listen to what he was to say.

"Nari-"

"No, Taehyung! You left me!" She refuses to cooperate with him, trying to stop him from grabbing her.

But Taehyung ignores her, and continues to try and get her attention by grabbing her arms or her wrists. However she still trys to resist, and pushes him away.

"Let go of me!"

"Nari."

"I said let go!"

"Nari!"

Taehyung then yells, not letting her resist him anymore and forcefully grabs hold of her face and brings it close to his. It makes her freeze from his unexpected touch.

With his two thumbs, he gently wipes the tears stained on her cheeks. "You really think that I didn't want to come back? That I didn't to come running back to you? I wanted to, so badly Nari. But I couldn't, because I thought you we're still annoyed with me and would never talk to me again!"

"I was annoyed at you. But then I realised that it was a stupid reason to be annoyed at you. But by the time I had realised that, you were already gone. I thought you died!" Nari voice becomes a whisper when saying that last part.

Taehyung chuckles lightly. "Guess it wasn't just these guys that thought that." He indicates his head to me.

I shrug."You can't blame us for thinking you were, hyung. You completely went off the map."

Nari's eyes fall from Taehyung's, adjusting to the ground. Taehyung tilts his head, smiling a little.

"Hey." He says softly. "Look at me."
