I watched Jace and Clary dancing, but somehow it seemed strange to me, because from the corner of my eye I could see that my best friend was crying. In my belly something like a knot developed, which wanted to tell me, something is not right here, but I was fast away again from the thought, because Izzy and Raphael pulled me again into the conversation, which they led. I don't know how many minutes had passed when Jace suddenly stood next to us without Clary. "Where is Clary?" I asked immediately and Jace looked at me with an amused facial expression. "Calm down, your best friend just wanted to get some fresh air," he said and now Izzy also joined in the conversation "Is she all right?" "I don't know, she didn't give me an answer. But now that you ask, she was a little bit strange. I had told her how much she had changed my life for the better and she also explained her love to me. But she cried and said something about it, no matter what, she would always love me. After that she left and said she was out in the fresh air for a moment so I didn't have time to tell her that I love her too and when I asked her if everything was okay she just kissed me," Jace told us. "Then you just let her go out alone," Izzy asked shocked and disappeared with the words, "I'll go check on her." Raphael, Jace and I briefly looked at each other and then kept talking. Shortly afterwards a disbanded Izzy came back in and started screaming at Jace. "She is not outside, otherwise I didn't find her anywhere. Why did you only let her go out alone, what if something happened to her", she screamed so loudly that Alec, Magnus, her parents and Max came to them. Maryse put one hand on her daughter's shoulder and said, "Isabelle don't yell around here. What happened?". Izzy just looked at Jace contemptuously, so I answered for her "Clary had told Jace that she wanted some fresh air and before that she had already addressed words to me that sounded very much like goodbye. I guess that's exactly what she said to Jace, no matter what..." But I couldn't get any further because Jace and everyone else looked at me with angry and frightened facial expressions. Jace immediately pushed me lightly and yelled at me "She spoke to you and it sounded like a farewell and you tell us that only now". Jace stormed out of the room and Izzy started yelling at me "Why didn't you say that before, then maybe we could have prevented her from disappearing". Jace ran to all the places he knew, where Clary liked to retreat and end up in his room. When he entered his room, he saw a letter lying on his bed. The writing on the envelope was clearly Clary's, so he picked it up with a pounding heart and started reading. "Dear Jace, when you read this letter, my memories of you and the shadow world will gone. That's the price the angels make me pay for creating runes. But I don't regret anything, even if I can't remember you anymore. You will be in my heart forever," the letter said, and he could no longer hold back his tears. He had already lost her again, but this time forever. Because in the letter it was written, even if he or the others were looking for her, it could become dangerous, because she would have nothing to do with the shadow world any more and she no longer had the second face. Jace couldn't help but run back to the wedding party with the letter in his hand, where there was already a depressed atmosphere and the first guests left. He was so sorry for Alec and Magnus, but for him his whole world just collapsed. His big love was gone, couldn't remember him and just now his best friend, brother and Parapatai moved out of the institute. When he had entered the room again, his family was already waiting for him with worried faces. The last thing Jace could remember was getting the letter torn from Izzy's hand and collapsing in Alec's arms in tears.
