Clary smiled at the two men who were looking at each other very much in love and said "I am very happy for you both, really. But Jace, what about us?". Jace sighed and took both hands of her. "Things have always been more complicated with us. We had quickly started to develop feelings for each other and were practically together. But you know I was adopted by the Lightwoods and didn't join them until I was 10. Before that, I was raised by a man who pretended to be my biological father when Michael Wayland pretended to be him. When I met your biological father the lie was blown, the man who pretended to be Michael was Valentine. He told us we were brothers and sisters, and since you actually had a brother who had already died, we believed him. So we were not allowed to be together and you started dating your best friend. But our feelings didn't go away and your friend noticed this quickly, just before your father's staff we found out that we weren't brothers and sisters after all. But your relationship lasted even longer and so I continued to suffer for a while until you did break up. It lasted, but then again a few weeks until we were finally together. We were so happy until one year ago", Jace tells and at the end he looked sadly into Clary's eyes. Clary already had tears in his eyes and asked "At your brother's wedding? Izzy came back to the four and sat down again. "Yes Clary, you still danced together and were so happy, but you wanted to go out for a short time on your own and get some air for some reasons that are still unknown to us today. But you never came back. When we looked for you there was no trace of you until we found you in the hospital. It seems that you ran into a car outside the door and were seriously injured, so that you lost your memory. We really had to force Jace to give you some air to breathe and give you time to recover before he comes back into your life", Izzy told Clary who had only looked into Jace's eyes all the time.
