28 (Undercover)

After the events of

- Almost getting killed by all kind of monsters
-Failing the plan of rescuing Luhan
-Meeting Kris’ mom
- Kris’mom got possessed by Erura when Kris decided to prevent her resurrection
- Meeting my dad and my nameless so called brother

I am stuck here with dishes, Luhan, and Kris in the holy kitchen for the rest of the school year. Washing a thousand of dishes is not easy. The thing is the school will be closed in two days. However, past few days were hard and it sent me to the nurse office.

And it was my entire fault (according to Kris).

Our principal decided to give us punishment from going away from campus without permission, sneaking out after the curfew, and missing for a month. Then Kris argued that we have found out the real murder of a girl, cleared Luhan’s name, and gave a new about Eruer to Royal Family, so we shouldn’t have any punishments but the rearwards. So for arguing with him, he had gave us a job to clean the campus for the rest of year.

So it was partially Kris’ fault, too but he didn’t agree with me.

“It’s all because of you that we are stuck here. Thank you very much!” Kris huffed in annoyance as he washed the soap from the dish and placed in the dish holder.

“Well, it’s not my fault. By the way, you got us cleaning this big holy campus every day.” I argued back.

“Okay, you two. Less fighting and more cleaning!” The principal’s voice boomed through the kitchen. We bowed uncomfortably and as soon as he went away, Kris and I sent death glares at each other. “And” The principal’s voice echoed the kitchen once again. All three of us looked at him. Luhan is innocent in the fight, so I hoped he didn’t get more punishment because of me and Kris. “Luhan, you need to go back to your land now. Your father asked for you. So go pack up and leave those two with dishes.” He grinned at me and Kris as he walked away.

“That old man.” Kris looked at Luhan. “You are very lucky.”

Luhan smiled gently and said “Sorry.” He looked at me and messed my hair up. “I will see you again next school year.”

I nodded and looked at his back as he existed from the kitchen. Then I felt a hard hit on my head. “Stop staring and do your work, you idiot!”

“What’s your problem, Kris?” I growled. “Jealous much?”

He scoffed and said “You wish. You are the one who couldn’t live without me.”

“Who said that?” I yelled at him.

He smirked and leaned near me. I could feel his hot breath on my neck. “Sehun said that you couldn’t wait to rescue me from Ziemlich. He also said that you missed me very much.”

“No, I didn’t miss you, asshole.” A lie. “You are such a jerk that I wish you lived with her forever.” Another lie. “And I didn’t want to rescue you but Sehun insisted.” Lies, lies, lies.

“Really?” His eyes turned soft. “So you really hate me that much?” His voice sounded hurt by my comments. He didn’t look at me and turned back to dishes.

I felt guilty after seeing his hurt face. “Actually Kris, I did miss you. You were the one who protect me from the monsters. Don’t be mad, okay?” I tried to face him but he kept avoiding me. “I am really sorry.”

Then he burst into laughter and said “Stupid girl. Of course I knew that you missed me. You are so easy to deceive.” He kept laughing.

Wow! Here I thought, he was really mad. I took out my gloves and kicked his leg. “Do all the dishes by yourself, jerk!” I stormed out of the kitchen area and went back to my room.

“Yah! Come back here, you dummy. I cannot do the dishes alone.” Kris yelled but I ignored him.

It was a good idea that he tricked me but I tricked him back. He stuck with dishes by himself without me and Luhan. Have Fun washing the dishes, you idiot!

I took a turn to get back to girls’ doom and I suddenly bumped into a guy. “Sorry.” I bowed.

“It’s okay.” He smiled. His eyes were wide and he looked very squishy that I wanted to touch his cheeks but I resisted the attraction of squishiness. I bowed awkwardly and ran away before my hands touched his cheek.

Of course, I fell asleep instantly when I get into the room because of the deadly hours of lectures, cleaning the campus, and the dishes.

The young man Jaeyeong has bumped looked into the kitchen and saw Kris muttering some words as he did the wishes.

Kris turned back to see if Jaeyeong is back since he felt a figure behind him. He swore someone was watching him but he didn’t see anyone.

The young man walked into the principal’s office and greeted “Hi.”

As soon as the principal saw him, he bowed down and said “Prince Kyungsoo.”

“Rise.” He ordered and the principal stood up and offered him a chair to sit. “I saw a boy washing dishes alone in the kitchen. Is his name Kris?” He asked.

The principal nodded and said “Yes, Prince. What bring you here to Skell Academy?”

“Oh, nothing. My brother wanted me to watch Jaeyeong and her friends. So I must enroll into this school for next year.”

“Yes, Prince. We will prepare for a room for you and-“

He interrupted his sentence and said “Just treat me like a student. I am undercover here.” He stood up and said “I will go around the school for now and just prepare a room next to Kris.”

With that, he left the room.
