Fear And Terror

11 (Girls' Club)

I didn’t know who the heck are they but the monster looked pretty scary. After all, monsters are meant to be scary.

Maybe I could use the dagger that is hidden under my sleeve like Kris did but I didn’t move because what if something gone wrong? The thought being heroic sent tingling feelings down my spine.

The moments in the combat are made me ashamed. It was humiliating for me to be that bad in combat skills. And by the way, Kris had a dagger, too.  I really wanted to know what he is planning.

I can see Kris closed his eyes. The monster turned around and hissed “What are you doing? Keep Moving!”

Kris didn’t say anything back, so the monster decided to hit but the guy stopped him. “Don’t.” The guy took out the blades and said “Keep moving or I might need to kill you.” He placed a blade on Kris’ neck, making it a little bleed.

What the hell was Kris thinking?

 I looked at him and shuffled forward. “My ankle. It’s hurt.” I tried to sound miserable which was hard to do because in my life, I never get bullied or get hit.

The attention of the guy and the monster turned away from Kris and stayed focus on me.

Whatever is he doing, he better be quick. I prayed and tried to communicate to Kris in my mind even though it wasn’t possible.

I tried to bring out my tears and I held my ankles tight. “It hurts a lot.” The guy with a scar on his face rolled his eyes and said “Carry her on your back!” As soon as he ordered, the monster carried me and his attention went to Kris.  Kris opened his eyes and I knew exactly what it meant.

His eyes were red and he’s ready to play with their fears.

For the first time, he used his magic for good.

Kris didn’t say anything and kept walking. What the hell is he doing? Can’t he just make them cry like babies? It annoyed me so much. I tried to concentrate and focused on my anger. I can feel my feelings rush around my body as I brought out my dagger and stabbed in the monster’s shoulder. I made the ground froze and jumped down from the big monster. As much as I appreciated monster for carrying me around while I was hurt but I had no choice to leave him in pain because I really need to go to Luhan and brought him back.

The thing is I had no idea where he was.

But first thing first, I needed to defeat the monster and the guy which seemed like his owner.

The monster and its owner cried in pain and I suspected that Kris was doing his job. “Sorry to take a long time to find their fear!” He held my hands as we both ran away from those to who knows where place.

Little did I know, I have been holding Kris’ hands for a long time even though we stopped.

“Crazy!” He mumbled under his breath as his eyes scanned around the trees. His eyes color didn’t change back to normal which kind of made me worried.

“You know you can stop using your power.” I suggested.

He looked at me and said “I had to find their damn fear which was hard to do and I needed to activate my spell through this shit.” He pointed at the broken sliver bracelet. Then I remembered that we didn’t have the chance to take out magic limiter after the combat since the girl was killed and Luhan got accused for that murder.”Where are we now?” He asked me as if I knew something.

“Fire!” I heard the girls’ voice. Oh Great! I saw arrows coming to us. I closed my eyes and I activated ice shield which protected us from the arrows.

Easy as pie. Then I realized not to think everything is easy because 12 or 13 girls  came out from their hiding place and without focusing, my shield disappears with the wind.

The girl with sliver dress is the center of attention. She was stunning but her face looked stern and dangerous. She looked at me and I could tell she doesn’t like me that much.

Then her eyes went to Kris. Her eyes softened immediately and I could see her eyes are sparkling and speaking: This man is absolutely handsome. I should take him to marry him.

“Who are you?” Kris asked as he protected me from her which made perfect logic because there was no way she couldn’t kill me without killing her handsome crush, Kris.

“The princess of Anancites Region. My name is Ziemlich.” She bowed at Kris and everyone started to bow at Kris. I doubted that they would like to know my name.

Kris didn’t bother to introduce his name but his face looked up in the sky as we both felt something’s wrong. There is a girl with golden hair aiming at us with the arrows. She blocked the sun with her body as she shoots at us. I was too stunned to activate my magic because she’s pretty, too.

In fact, all the girls are pretty and nicely dressed.

I was snapped back to reality as Kris was shot in his shoulder. I looked at them but Ziem-what’s her name- was looking at us with her smile.

I thought she liked Kris.

“Let him go and you both will live.” Ziem (I kept forgetting the last part of her name) said as the bows and arrows appeared in her hands.  “He will be safe in my embrace. Say no and you will feel my wrath.”

I couldn’t speak and felt like a complete failure. I couldn’t believe I’d come all this way to Magus Land to save Luhan but I am stuck with some kind of over jealousy and pretty girl.

As soon as I thought I could rely on Kris for my protection, I was going to lost Kris to some girls’ club.
