It's been a couple days since that lil thing happened and Jaiden neither my dad talked to me yet. I went to school and just thought about Serenity. I decided to have a talk with her and I invited her to my house.
"Jai." I said as I went in his room. He looked at me getting back on his phone.
"Jaiden please listen to me, I wanna talk to you before Serenity come." I said and he ignored me so I snatched his phone out his hands.
"Ight Kind." He said
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have treated you like that. All you were trying to do was get me to hear her out, but I was being stubborn." I said.
"Ight." He said I sighed not wanting to say anything else because I didn't wanna start an argument.
"Can I have my phone back?" He asked and I just gave him a small smile giving it back. I heard the door bell ring and I went to go get it seeing it was Serenity.
"Hey." I said and she nodded coming in. She sat on the couch with her head down.
"So I wanted to talk to you, about how we fell off and shit." I said sitting on a few inches away from her on the couch.
"Why?" She asked.
"You waited 2 years to finally sit down and talk to me." She said and i sighed.
"I know and I'm sorry." I said and she shook her head.
"I don't care. We were best friends Kind, like sisters. When I told you I didn't do that shit you should have believed me." She said.
"Serenity I'm really sorry." I said.
"I really don't care Kind, let's just face the fact that we not friends and never will be friends again." She said getting up.
"Hey Serenity." My mom said and she smiled at her.
"Hey Mrs. Gaulden I was just finna leave." She said.
"Well ok be safe love you." She said.
"Love you to bye." She said and walked out. My mom loved all my friends. She treated them how she treated me. That's just how she was.
"FUCK!" I yelled.
"Kind what's wrong?" My mom asked coming over to me.
"I was trying to talk to her and she didn't even want to. She just said we'll never be friends again." I said a
"Kind who cares. If she doesn't wanna be your friend oh well. Not everyone is gonna like you. But I'm pretty sure she had her reasons just like you had yours to not wanna be hers." She said.
"But ma you know how close we use to be. Then Jai said she's not even ok. I just wanna check on her. Friends or not." I said.
"Ok Kind, but if she doesn't want your help, to be your friend, don't force it." She said then my daddy came out the room.
"Daddy." I said mad he ignored me.
"Daddy please I nee-"
"I'm minding my business." He said.
"So annoying." I mumbled getting up.
"What was said?" He asked looking at me. I ignored him and ran upstairs to my room slamming my door.
"Don't nobody ever wanna Listen to me." I said and then my dad busted in my room.
"I wish you would slam my door again." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"Kind!" My mama yelled from downstairs and I pushed past my dad and he pulled me back by my hair.
"Kind Alice Gaulden, I swear to god. You don't know me lil girl I will really hurt you." He said and my heart started beating fast.
"I don't know what's wrong with you but I do know you need a good ass whoopin. Cuz when you start acting like this? Ever since you got with that boy you been acting like this. Lemme tell you sum." He said and pulled it harder.
"I will kill him and make it look like an accident if he the reason." He said and then let me go.
"Hey Kind." Lai said and I gave her a small smile.
"Kentrell!" My mom called and he glared at me for a second before walking away.
"You ok? You look scared." Aysia said and I shook my head.
"I'm fine come on." I said and we went in my room.
"TJ and Jamari went in there with Jaiden." Jalaiah said and I nodded.
"Bro I might be trippin but I feel like Jaiden got feelings for Serenity." I said and they both looked at each other before busting o it laughing.
"Stop playin wit dat mane like dat." Malaysia said but I kept a straight face.
"No I'm serious, it's like he keep on taking up for her and shit. He won't even talk to me because I wouldn't talk to her." I said and they shook they heads.
"That don't mean anything Kind." Lai said.
"Yea Ight." I said.
"Kind ever since you and Jaiden got together you been acting a lil, what's the word bitchy." Malaysia said and I looked at her.
"Don't call me no bitch." I said.
"I didn't I said your acting bitchy." She said again.
"Not gon lie Kind that is true. You don't even hang out with us no more. If we don't hit you up first you'll never hit us up." Lai said.
"Sorry I just been busy." I said shrugging.
"Doing what? You don't do shit but go to school, have attitudes, eat and sleep. So what exactly are you busy doing?" Malaysia asked.
"Why is everybody against me?" I asked.
"We no- I'm not Kind I'm just saying you been acting a lil different lately." She said.
"I wish everybody would just chill on me tho, and mind they business." I said they nodded getting up leaving my room.
"Fuck y'all then." I mumbled
