I had just made it to this hospital and I was gonna see Kind. This was my first time seeing her being by myself. I went to the lady at the front desk.
"Do you know where Kind Gaulden's room is?" I asked and she nodded getting up. She took me to her room and I went in seeing she was facing the wall sitting Indian style.
I just watched and she looked like she was talking to herself. She was wearing some black joggers with a white shirt. Her hair was in a messy bun.
"Kind." I said and she slowly turned around to look at me. She had tears running down her face and she was shaking a lil bit.
"Hey sissy you ok?" I asked sitting down on the bed and she just stared at me.
"It's very lonely in here." She said lowly. I looked down at her hands and seen they were bandages up.
"What happened?" I asked pointing to her hands.
"I've been punching the walls." She said and I shook my head.
"I brought you something." I said and I went in my book bag and pulled out a burger and fries. Her eyes widened and she snatched it from me beginning to eat it.
"Kind it's never that good." I said with a chuckle.
"I haven't ate anything since I've been here." She mumbled continuing to eat.
"Kay can you take me home?" She asked and I sighed shaking my head.
"I really wish I cou-" She cut me off by throwing the rest of the burger at me.
"Lemme lone then." She said and took the fries going to a corner facing the wall again.
"I HATE IT HERE!" She screamed and I closed my eyes.
"I'm 15 and I'm in jail l-"
"Kind this is-"
"Shut up." She said.
"Your right tho this isn't jail it's much worse. I can't leave out of her. Not even to eat. The only time I can leave is to take a shower. I can't go outside. I can't call anybody.Nothing stuck in here." She said.
"But thanks for the meal, probably the last one I'll eat for a while." She said.
"Kind as soon as you get better you can come home." I said.
"So I'm never coming home? Cuz my problems not gonna be fixed by sitting in a small ass room 24/7." She said.
"I love you Kind." I said and didn't get a response. I sighed and walked out the room. The lady shut and locked the door and I left. • • • • • Jalaiah POV

Me, Aysia and Serenity were in class not paying attention not doing any work not talking to anybody or each other. We were just thinking bout Kind. Then Jakayla and Naija came over to us.
"Serenity come with us for a minute." Naija said and Serenity didn't say anything.
"Hello did you not hear me come on." She said again and Serenity still didn't say anything.
"Se-"
"Bitch please get the fuck, like damn she obviously don't wanna come. " I said and they laughed.
"Heard Kind tried to kill her self." Jakayla said.
"Here we go." Malaysia said standing up.
"And she's in a mental hospital, that bitch is crazy." Naija said and Jakayla laughed.
"How bout I send you to a hospital." I said and they laughed like something was really funny.
"Ladies sit down." My ELA teacher said.
"Maybe next it'll be Serenity. The little girl who is now homeless." Jakayla said getting in her face a lil bit.
"The lil girl who's mom is dead and who's father raped her beat-" Both Malaysia and Serenity started fighting her.
"Back yo ass up." I said pushing Naija back. People that were in our class tried to break it up as security came.
"Don't touch me." She said and tried to hit me but got pulled back by a boy in our class.
"He saved you." I said.
"Come on both of y'all, fuck these hoes let's go." I said and grabbed Aysia and Serenity hands guiding them out of class.

"TJ go answer the door please!" My mama yelled from the kitchen. I sighed getting up going downstairs and opening the door.
"My nigga what's wrong with you?" I asked Jaiden letting him in
"You know how I told Desiree whatever we had going on was over?" He asked me and I nodded.
"Dis bitch got all her brothers on my ass." He said and I laughed.
"No like they really tryna kill me." He said and I laughed harder.

"JAIDEN!" We looked and seen it was Desiree everybody laughed as he smacked his lips.
"Hey bae." She said and tried to kiss him but he turned his head.
"I'm not you bae. I don't even know you." He said and I snorted.
"Me and my brothers know you tho look." She said and we seen all 3 of them niggas coming our way.
"Hell nah." Lai said and her Serenity and Malaysia started running away.
"Don't leave us!" I yelled and me Jai and Mari ran to.
