My gratitude in black and white!💞
Dear Mama,
For the morning sickness you had to bear,
For the sleepless nights as I persistently kicked in there,
I say thank you!
For nurturing me as I developed from zygote to embryo,
For making your top priority ensuring I had a health growth,
I say God bless you!
Lest I forget the excruciating labour pains you had to experience,
And your selfless prayers that after the suffering your jewel will come out perfect,
I am more than grateful!
Can I forget that huge smile you had on when after the painful nine months you caught sight of me?
Or how quickly mother's instincts kicked in as you caressed and breastfed me?
Mama, I adore you!
Continuous breastfeeding made your nipples sore and tender,
Yet my hungry cries even in the middle of the night didn't make your love for me grow any less fonder,
You're truly the best!
You held my hand as I attempted to take my first steps,
At every fall, you would wipe my tears and encouraged me to try my best,
You're truly my number 1 supporter!
For providing all my basic needs,
Making sure my little innocent self was always happy,
I'm blessed to have you Mama!
For sitting at my bedside when I was seriously ill,
Nursing me back to health when I became weak and frail,
I'm proud to have you as my Mama!
For seeing me right from my preschool years,
Assisting and praising me whenever I came home with straight A's,
You deserve the world!
The beatings and shoutings when I did wrong shall always be remembered,
The advice that I then did not acknowledge have contributed to molding my future,
Mama I appreciate you!
Last but not least, the spiritual teachings you fed me with,
Teaching me to pray always and contributing to building my Christian faith,
Makes you highly favoured Mama!
The words Happy Mother's Day merely do not express my heartfelt gratitude!
But I hope by striving to be the amazing woman you wished me to be
You'll see that I'm forever grateful for all that you've done for me!
And so without further ado I shall proudly say,
I love you, my dear Mummy!

Happy Mother's Day to all the brave amazing women who play the role of bringing up every prominent and promising individual out there. We appreciate you all so much!! Sadly I know a few people who don't have their mothers with them on earth. May God continue to strengthen and bless you all❤️‼️
