It's up to you and me!✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
It's the last day of May
And I'm wondering if it'll all remain the same
Will we forget all that we've learnt over the past few days
And walk back into our old and abandoned evil ways? It's the last day of May,
No matter what, God has evidently been more than kind and wonderful
But as I reflect on the past few days, I wonder if I have personally been totally thankfulI can't believe it's the last day of May,
How many promises did I make to God?
Did I even fulfill them all?
But how many nagging requests did I constantly make?
Did I even consider others in my prayers?
Or were they all for selfish gain?Time never halts and very soon a new month starts
But look around you? Has anything really changed?
Injustice, unlawful killings and shootings seem to be here to stay
Oh God, how I wish I could proudly say,
That all these ceased in May!We're moving into a new month but actually the world's not progressing!
Why?
Because those who call themselves "Christians" are still self-seeking
Because we aren't letting our light shine before men,
That they may see and glorify the Almighty Father in heaven! It's the end of May yet families are still agonizing
Because blameless men are dying
Meanwhile the world is still hating and society's backbiting
Should we all just sit back and carry this negativity to the rest of the months?
When we could rather stand for unity and stop the unneeded fights and rants!Sadly it's the end of May,
Yet my prayer from the first of January remains the same
That we may abstain from the hate and decide to stand for change,
It's not too late to take this bold initiative,
To break the chain of prejudice and injustice!Through it all His mercies are new every morning!
Meaning June and the months to come will be no exception!
Notwithstanding, all that happened in May should teach you and me a lesson!
That life is too short wasting it regretting,
As little drops of water make a mighty ocean,
By desisting from the bad coupled with unceasing prayer and a change of heart
We can change June's story and the months to come!*•*•*•*
I named this piece Susanna because in the Bible she would have been executed unfairly if not for God who revealed the truth to Daniel who prevented her death!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, bring a Daniel to every innocent accused. Amen!❤️

Don't discriminate, black lives matter just as equally as white lives do! Violence is not the answer but it started because the dent in the hearts of the blacks enlarged with each unfair death! No one deserves this pain! Make a change! ~Live pure, speak true, right wrong and follow the King!~ (my school's motto😌-31/05/2020-
Activity (optional): Read Psalm 10- A prayer for justice!💪🏾 and chapter 11 for confidence that justice will be served!🙏 (both chapters have been snapped from my NIV Bible as the cover photo for this chapter in case you want to read it now😊)
