The moment the town car pulled away, Alastor poured himself a drink. Obviously he had done this before, seeing as how not a drop of expensive whiskey hit the seat. I watched him silently, the tension between us so think you could have cut with a knife.
Alastor downed the whiskey in one go, then began pouring another. I finally spoke up, saying, "So do you want to fill me in, or are you going to get shit faced first?"
The Radio Demon's crimson eyes flicked towards me, his smile predatory as he replied, "We have an opportunity to get closer. Tomorrow night, I am going to drop you off at the bastard's place. I'll give you something to slip into his drink that will knock him out cold. Josh and I will be close by and will come and get him. We can take him back to my place, I have a cellar basement. Once he's down there, you can do whatever you like to him."
I listened in fascination. The furthest we had gotten in our plan was tonight, and that was just a recon mission. Alastor was wanting to strike fast and strike hard. I figured it would take more time to get closer to Fred.
"Do you think it will be that easy?" I asked, turning to look at the scenery passing by.
"It better be," Alastor answered, "Otherwise, his permanent demise will come much quicker than planned."
