One month later...
The house looked completely different. Alastor and I stood in the hall as the last of the workers loaded up their tools. If you held up a before and after picture, you wouldn't have been able to tell it was the same house.
"This looks amazing," I said, wandering into the parlor, "We can start bringing girls in to help."
Alastor followed me, his grin stretched across his face. He inspected the freshly painted parlor, nodding in approval. Wrapping an arm around my waist, he asked, "Does this make you happy?"
I looked up at the Radio Demon, giving him a smile of my own, "You know, I was so bent on revenge that I didn't think long term. But being able to help people, actually make a difference, that makes me happier than I could have imagined."
Alastor grinned even wider, leaning down to kiss me. I leaned into the kiss, happy to see a mutual goal accomplished.
"Now that the stage is set," He chuckled, "Are you ready to start the show?"
Pulling Alastor down for another kiss, I replied, "Let the show begin."
